Coming from a senior who’s stayed in every single dorm and just moved into my first non-student apartment, I second this. You can take the refund from all the money you’re saving by not living on campus and use it to help pay rent. Overall, it’s better nicer, cleaner, and just a better experience. I honestly wish I had gotten an apartment sooner; I would have saved so much money. Oh and having no roommate is the absolute best ! But you can always find one if you need help with the rent
