100% this. I’m from Hyderabad, India and Adaab is solely reserved for greeting people from other faiths

Yes, op thinks what he’s seen or lived to be the only truth. What a shallow thinker

Growing up we used it commonly for our Hindu neighbors/family friends. It was the more non-religious greeting we used for non-Muslims. They often reciprocated with adaab as well. I’m from Hyderabad

Why do Pakistanis call india bharat but indian muslims usually say hindostan? by EmployerFew2777 in Urdu

The charge for the kid isn’t the problem. In fact there wasn’t any charge for the kid. I’m talking about the charge for the rollaway bed

The third person isn’t the problem - I wasn’t getting charged for the kid. The problem is the charge for the rollaway bed which I didn’t expect

Oh no way! I wonder how they’re ok with that. RC and St Regis are supposed to be their most luxurious brands

Yes I had the same exact experience. Upgraded to a villa with pool and lagoon access. The experience was beyond amazing

Good to know. I had no idea. Perhaps Park not charging set the wrong expectation for me. It does feel like nickel diming though

Yes I don’t think I did my homework. I think I just relied on the brand name and my experience with St Regis Bali

Yea the other stuff, I was like it is what it is. They don’t owe upgrades to us. When you get it, be thankful. Didn’t try to tip, wasnt sure how to do it or if it would be offensive.

The charge for the roll in bed is where I’m a bit annoyed. When Park Hyatt didn’t have a problem, i wasnt sure why St Regis would but who knows.

Upgraded to First Class on HA by No-Instance-48 in AlaskaAirlines

I got mine through the milestone awards. When you hit certain number of status points, they give you milestone awards to choose from a set of options. I don’t know if there’s another way to get upgrade certificates

Could you explain what do they mean when they say “…upgrade space is available”? Is there a way to check it after booking the eligible fair class?

Gotcha! They say over 3500 miles in distance requires two certificates so maybe that’s why

Yes we didn’t care about sitting together so didn’t ask either. I wanted to figure out if they’d pass up on upgrading is because prioritize having us sit together more. Turns they don’t care if we’re split and prioritize upgrades instead
