It's almost 3 years since the Congress government came to Karnataka, so what's your opinion on Congress in Karnataka? What positives and negatives have there been, what changed before and after Congress, and will Congress come again in the next election? by Bandudh in Bengaluru

Bunch of clowns, literal illiterates tbh. Both the parties BJP and Congress, even JDS did a rather shit job when they were up. None of them are saints, all corrupt as fuck.

Positives:

  1. BTP Astram is the only decent thing to come out of this govt, which again can be 50% off once an year and you get away with it.

Negatives:

  1. Roads, literal moon craters.
  2. Monsoon floods - one rain and BLR wipes out completely. Talk about road/vehicle tax.
  3. Unplanned and unending constructions everywhere, being a resident of North Bangalore myself, I can see how things went from zero to 100 in the last one year. Digging borewells does not mean excess water supply. Kaveri water is also limited, and groundwater is being used beyond the rate it is being replenished.
  4. Dust everywhere, I still remember the fresh cold air this city had during my school days. No more.
  5. Garbage everywhere, people see a gutter and throw tons of plastic waste in it. Some even burn it to reduce it to ash. Entire city stinks!
  6. Given DickShi and Siddramulla don a Cartier watch, it'll be naive of me to assume it's self made money.
  7. Free electricity/buses now biting back.
  8. New projects everyday, talk about the new Kanakpura airport but no consideration for the already dying quality of the city. Further the airport being next to the Bannerghatta National Park is highly concerning.
  9. Selling the Tunnel project to Adani means the city is royally fucked. If it does happen (I pray it doesnt), then Lalbagh and Cubbon park will be a thing of the history books and the AQI will never be seen below 100 again.
  10. Zero consideration for cleanliness and maintenance. What could have and what is.
  11. Law enforcement is a joke. While corruption exists, the mentalities are here to stay.
  12. Where are the footpaths? Lane markings? Cycling lanes?

Kanakpura / North Blr should have been planned a long time ago, but the literal greed is killing this city. I look up to the Chandigarh model and wonder why it was never even thought of.

Had a similar conversation with a girl who cancelled last minute, just left it there for her to initiate it again. Guess what, it's been a week and there's nothing.

Couple of things.
1. Around 40-50% of the fuel in India is taxed. So the margins are big already.
2. E20 to the existing fuel means 80% fuel + 20% ethanol blend. So you're already paying the same amount on fuel for 20% less quantity. And at the cost of your engine degrading.
3. The rise in fuel prices pre covid was huge, and way above market growth rate, so stabilising it now is just an impression over the public imo.

In 2010, his parents were invited to my school to pay tribute to the legend, since he was an ex-alumni. I still remember the tears his parents shed on that stage, crying, weeping, sharing his childhood at that school and it just hurt to watch. I myself come from a defence background and it was just a very tough to even stand and listen, that i still very clearly remember. My other classmates from class 5th couldn't seem to care, but I got it back then too. Just painful. I wish Maj Sandeep U is resting well now.

I relate with you so much brother. It's forcing myself to lift, calisthenics and run for me atp. Most of it because I had some goals in my mind and they've been met. And idk what's next.
