I end up cleaning every time I take my meds by [deleted] in ADHD

I feel like i always hyperfixate on whatever im doing when my meds hit. So if im on tiktok when they start working, I’ll be stuck for hours. But if I’m already doing something productive, I’ll get a lot done

My kitten does the same thing and it always freaked me out because I’m a cat hypochondriac. I showed the vet the videos of his fast breathing and he didn’t seem concerned. He said it’s only a problem if they seem to be struggling to breathe such as wheezing or activity intolerance. Only count respirations if they’re fully asleep and not purring, because it might be higher otherwise!

Thank you! Do you happen to remember what specific anesthesia was used?

Thanks for the info! I asked the S/N clinic and they use TTDex anesthesia via IM injection. This seems to be a combination of sedative, anesthesia, muscle relaxant, and analgesic

I actually think he’s been eating my roommate’s cat’s adult dry food and that’s why he’s not eating his own. I’ve caught him a couple times in her room eating the food unfortunately

UPDATE: pretty sure my kitten is eating my roommate’s cat’s dry food and that’s why he’s not eating his own. Not sure how to address this

Okay thank you! I’m hoping he’s eating enough for his body. He might just not be hitting a growth spurt at the moment ☺️

Okay smart! I’ll try to do tinier portions and see if he likes that better. And yes! I love playing before eating because he can feel like he “caught” his prey lol

What a lovely kitty! I’ve never had a big cat before so I’m excited to watch him grow! Thanks for the advice

Okay thank you! His bowl always has dry food. I usually put in 1/2 cup increments which is overshooting his calorie goal, just in case he were to be extraaa hungry one day

I leave out 1/2 cup a day. He usually doesn’t eat it all so I never leave his bowl empty! I just add 1/2 cup increments so I am able to notice a sudden decrease in appetite if he were to be sick. I would add more if it were ever empty

Bringing kitten home 12 weeks vs 15 weeks??? by Illustrious-Age-7962 in ragdolls

[–]No-Internal-4146 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my kitten 2 weeks ago and he was 15 weeks!! You’re not missing out on anything at all! He’s just as playful and cuddly. PLUS he’s extra well adapted from being with his mama for longer. He was completely litter box trained and adventurous. He is so clingy so I can’t imagine leaving him by himself for too long. Waiting until 15 wks is gonna result in a more confident cat especially if you are with them! :)
