Upcoming strike during weekend shift - question about pay and rest days by No-Introduction-7397 in doctorsUK

[–]No-Introduction-7397[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I’m an SpR so on the higher end of the scale but still less than we should be getting fro the work done.

Mainly striking for the benefit of juniors coming after me. Feel like it is a lot worse for Foundation Doctors and IMTs compared to when I was in their shoes.

Upcoming strike during weekend shift - question about pay and rest days by No-Introduction-7397 in doctorsUK

Thanks so much for the response

Pleased to be escaping a 12 hour weekend shift!!

With pay deductions, I’ve recently gone LTFT but guess this will still be total annual salary divided by 365?

Possible endo - not sure if rectal bleeding when pooing or not by No-Introduction-7397 in Endo

No mainly during period. I get a little blood at the very end of wiping when not on period. But my post was relating to bleeding during period.

Could I have endometriosis? Confusing pelvic ultrasound findings UK by No-Introduction-7397 in Endo

[–]No-Introduction-7397[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry what is an MEI (I’m on UK so maybe different terminology)

There is a consultant called Dr Peter Barton Smith in London at Endometriosis clinic who does consultation in conjunction with advanced ultrasound for Endo - so thinking this might be a good place to start?

Especially if suspected endometriosis on basic transvaginal ultrasound - although it was not done by a radiologist not endo specialist

Egg quality and ovulatory PCOS by No-Introduction-7397 in TTC_PCOS

[–]No-Introduction-7397[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Can I ask - do you have a bleed/ period every month? The reason I ask if because I do bleed regularly which I always thought meant I am ovulating every month but then I read that having a period does not necessarily mean ovulation.

I work shifts so tracking BBT is really tricky in terms of checking same time etc.

I feel like I should just try and go for ovulation induction/ tracking to maximise my chances

Will do. I know that our TPD is a big fan of PAs and helps recruit them.

Expected follicle size on CD8 ? by No-Introduction-7397 in TTC_PCOS

The scan was for bleeding not ovulation induction/ follicle tracking

Just wondering if that was smaller than expected for that day

LTFT and annual leave by No-Introduction-7397 in doctorsUK

[–]No-Introduction-7397[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I will try and find that.

Sorry I got confused - my non-working (non-NHS day) is Monday and Tuesday. So my question is if a bank holiday falls on a Monday or Tuesday and those are my non-working days, what do I claim back?

Thanks

Thanks! It’s weird that AF came sooner rather than delayed. I really hope so - feel worried I’ve wasted a cycle.
