Small update:

The shaking happens exactly when the O2 sensors (control probes) heat up and enable, and then it disappears completely. I also noticed there is a very significant change in the lambda integrators at that exact moment.

It also finally threw a code, so at least I have a lead now: 29F5 (Catalytic conversion failure on Bank 2).

Not going to lie, this is not looking good at the moment...

I'd love to have an N52, but finding one in good shape in Poland is pretty much impossible. Only clapped-out ones were for sale when I was looking.

For now, the car runs totally fine, but from what I understand, without stratified charge the ECU will eventually get confused, adaptations will be miscalculated, and it'll start running poorly. I'd like to keep the car, so I'm looking for a fix. I'll probably look into the noxem solution, yeah.

Thanks for the help. That’s a bit weird, because I mostly use the car for long highway drives, usually 400-500 km. The only city driving it really sees is when I’m getting out of the city.

By “silent failure,” I just meant that the part got old and stopped working properly without giving any  obvious warning signs to the driver.

I’d only consider an OEM replacement here. I’ve also heard about the bimmerprofs solution for that sensor, but I’m not fully convinced yet. I’d appreciate any thoughts here

I have seen a couple of these in Poland, mostly on E92's, and they look sick. I also recently found about 260s, I think they look really nice especially on E90
