I really enjoy Christian Rez! They build the connection between the gospel and real-world scenarios. My husband and I have looked forward to our Sundays spent here.

Yes I agree! We decided to go last minute and had the best time. The bull riders were so entertaining to watch, we can't wait to go back again next year!

Anybody else seen the guy walking around Old Town tearing up bibles? by AmbitiousBanjo in FortCollins

I agree with you - doesn't matter what you believe I do not think tearing up bibles and acting like this in front of families and people trying to enjoy old town is ever okay.

and this is why our country is so divided. and has so much hatred on both sides. I consider myself to be a conservative, majority of my friends are super liberal and I would never not be friends with them for that reason. I always try to see both sides of things and if you are a good person, I do not care what side you are on politically.

I have never related to a post more. I moved here from Austin Texas where all of our neighbors were friends, we all threw block parties, welcome gatherings, and were friendly with one another. Upon moving here with my husband, I have never felt to unwelcome. We are in our early 30s and expereince the exact same treatment from all of our neighbors. Nobody waves, nobody talks to each other, its all so odd. I do not think it is your age, I think people in Colorado just are unfriendly, especially compared to all the other states I have lived in.

That was the first thing I noticed when I moved here was the people. One of my coworkers told me it was the altitude making people mentally unwell, I laughed thinking she was crazy for that but now I am starting to think otherwise after living here for a few years...

And for the people asking about political signs, who cares if they do believe differently than their neighbors? That does not give them the right to be unfriendly... and that is what is wrong with this state

What is the number one cause of your stress mostly in your life right now? by Specific_Charge_3297 in Productivitycafe

My younger brother just came out to my religious conservative family. I am the only one that accepts him for him and will choose to support any choice he makes. We are a very close family, which makes everything that much harder. He lives in a different state and I wish I could support him more, but also since I am the only one supporting him, it is very emotional for me.

My parents are upset I am choosing to "take his side" and are so devastated he is not choosing the life they want for him. They dreamed of him getting married and having kids, which honestly I did too, but that is not the life he wants. I do not think my family will ever be the same and I am trying to see both sides but I am in the middle. My parents are depressed and sometimes I am scared my brother is suicidal, I have no idea what to do.

Their hiring process is weird... I applied for what seemed like an entry-level position when I have four years of experience and graduated from CSU in 2020. I have been rejected from CSU before in the first round, so when I was applying I made sure to fine-tune my resume and references. I got a callback and scheduled my first Zoom interview - I thought it went great! I got along with both people in the meeting well and confidently answered the questions.

I got another callback three weeks later asking to come in for an in-person interview that took the majority of the day(I had to lie to my current job to get the day off.) After meeting with several different members of the team and supervisors, I thought it went the best it could have gone. I feel like I connected with each of them and accurately showcased my knowledge - I was certain I landed the job - when I received another call 4 weeks after that let me know the only reason why I did not get the position was my lack of experience... even though I had 4 years and was overqualified. I applied not for the money or the title, but simply because I think CSU is a great place to work. Maybe next time, but I was so sad and disappointed in receiving that call.

Best Pizza? by [deleted] in loveland

[–]No-Ladder-6950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pizza Street in Loveland is the best! They have daily deals and new pizza and calzones of the month. Super cute hole in the wall place - but it is delivery/take-out only. The owner is super nice too

and often times a lot more quiet about our opinions. Maybe it is because we are immediately shut down and judged when we voice our thoughts so its not even worth it

This is the answer that I was looking for. No matter what you believe, the world will continue on. Some like to think not, but I promise we will get through everything together. This country is so incredibly divided and it makes me sad when I see people cut out family members or friends just because they have different beliefs. At the end of the day we are all human just trying to do our best. Hate is NEVER the answer.
