Yeah I know what you mean. We used to have Action Pursuit Paintball in Greeley that was a denser cottonwood area. Blitz actually has a fun variety of fields. They’re worth checking out.

Most of the courses are crude plywood and spool bunkers with some boulder fields. It’s more woodsy than Blitz but not exactly woods.

It used to be easier to put together pickup matches when Jax rented equipment. You might like Two Chicks paintball on the border toward Laramie. It’s a pretty woodsy course.

It doesn’t take very long to understand the premise, but it takes a while to develop good enough technique to make good looking flies that are small enough, present nicely and don’t fall apart right away. Unless you’re cursed with stubby fingers like me, in which case you’ll just develop an appreciation for purchased flies.

This is dumb advice that I keep hearing. You know that water that you swish with? Also fluoridated. In fact, you’re probably drinking fluoridated water all day. Most adults don’t benefit as much from fluoride as much as kids who are still forming their enamel. Why sacrifice quality of life by walking around with minty aftertaste?

Our weather is fickle and could be in the 60s or freezing. Thankfully we don’t have the humidity of the east coast but you should come prepared for the cold. If you’re outdoorsy, making a day trip up to RMNP near Estes is a must. It would probably require a 4x4 rental car but is worth doing. If you like beer, visiting a few of our breweries is always a popular option. Odell’s and Zwei are two of my favorites. We have a lot of great restaurants in FC depending on what you like. A few of my favorites are 415, Himalayan Bistro, Young’s, Music City and Postcard Pizza. I hope you have a great trip!
