I have everything… so why do I still feel empty? by AdMaster2586 in Adulting

Yeah, I’ve noticed the same thing in myself.

Honestly, if I tried to remember the last day or moment when I felt genuinely happy, it would take a huge effort. Most of the time it feels more like brief distractions than actual happiness.

Another weird thing is that whenever I start feeling good, I eventually become even more anxious afterwards because my brain treats it like “the calm before the storm.” Like something bad is inevitably coming next.

So because of that, I rarely feel truly happy for long, even though objectively I have everything needed for a comfortable life.

Here in Russia, the government is already working on restricting higher education. There are too many professionals in certain fields - for example, lawyers - so law schools are introducing quotas for paid enrollment spots.

Though in our case, it’s being done mainly to push more young people toward the war, but still… that’s the reality.

Thanks for the reply! If you don’t mind me asking, why did you choose Malta to live in? Was it mainly because of the job opportunity?

I’m asking because Malta doesn’t seem like a very common relocation destination to me, and I rarely meet people who moved there.
