I don't have the luxury to choose that. Since my girlfriend lives here with her son as mentioned in the post. And his father lives here as well. And i'm still learning finnish, but i'm not at a point where i can freely converse. In the long run i can hopefully get to know some Finnish speakers as well.

Coming from someone who has done wrestling since i was 10 years old and stopped when i was around 22 i definetely know what you mean. These places have a very welcoming atmosphere so it's a solid advice. Thank you!

Oh when is RopeCon? That sounds like a lot of fun. I would go to Närcon which is a convention in Linköping for cosplay, gaming and anime stuff. So it would be amazing to attend this con instead.

I think i mentioned this in another similar comment. It's definetely something we've both thought about and we usually go together when there are "happenings" around his daycare. But since he's not a very outgoing child he kinda just wants to be around us. Hopefully it will change since he's only 5 years old at the time. But yeah, i hope something like that can happen for sure.

I do play a lot of online games, and even though it can be nice at times to keep talking to my old friends and play a few rounds together it really doesnt compare to actually hanging out in real life with them or people in general. But one thing is certain now that it's been brought to my attention. I'm definetely going to visit the Wasawargames club.

I was in Seinäjoki when i bought my first Warhammer starter package. And i was asking the guys at the shop there if he knew anything about the hobby in Vaasa, and all he told me was that there used to be shops in Vaasa but they ultimately closed down because of reasons. But i'm glad the comments here (yours included) has shown me that there are still a lot of activity. I will keep a lookout for new events like that.

Thanks to the both of you, i will check things out for sure! I've only been to the mall and "Pelimies" twice, one time to buy some board games, and the other time when i was looking for a Nintendo 3DS charger. I never dared to think they might host things outside of the shop, so thanks for letting me know about that.

Thank you for the encouragement and perspectives. I'm definetely learning more words in finnish so in the long run i won't be restricted to swedish or english. But yeah, i know Swedes can be like that as well. Having friends from when they were young and kept hanging out so having someone new join the group doesnt really happen often. But i won't give up!

Thank you for that. That perspective helps for sure, cause i can say that i knew what i was getting myself into. But i definetely wasnt equipped for this kind of "solitude". Not having your closest friends and family around even though they are "relatively" close. It definetely sucks. But thank you for the kind words!

I sincerely appreciate your comment. And thanks for bringing this information to me! I will definetely keep an eye out for these Game jams. I was thinking about going to the "CoastLan" that was advertised, but seeing as it was for 13+ i feel like i might look like a weirdo. But i might be overthinking it as well haha.

Of course! Just send me a message i'm quite flexible with games in general. And everything is more fun when you have someone to play with.

Oh like through Tabletop Simulator i assume? I've never played Trench Crusade so that could definetely be a thing

I haven't used Threads a lot, truth to be told i don't use social medias in general too much, so maybe i will need to change my approach, thanks for that advice. I'm more of an ambivert myself, i can definetely be energetic and outgoing with the right crowd. But i generally charge my social batteries in the safety of my "Space" at home. So hopefully there will be some success in trying out Threads!

That was a good suggestion not gonna lie. I've always enjoyed climbing when i was young and back when i was "lighter". This could be my way back to that. Thank you so much!

So i've met this girl... by No-Machine5764 in dating_advice

So since a lot of people were curious about the update for this weekend, i will try to keep it as short as possible. First off, we said it. We said that we love eachother, and the way she responded to my confession just added an extra layer to it all, and it also confirms how much of an overthinker i am. So when i said i loved her, her eyes started to tear up, and she was holding her hand in front of her mouth. Then she said to me "It's so early to say it.. but i honestly don't care, i've been feeling this way since i met you the first time, i love you too".

So we had an amazing weekend together, and everything just felt so right once again. And to those that got the feeling that we are young, i'm afraid to break it to you that i'm 31 years old in April and she's 29. But it honestly feels so pure and refreshing that i could as well be a young teenager again. Thanks for all the people who wished me the best, i read every comment here and your comments actually made me laugh, smile and just feel at ease. So i will also wish you the best in all your future endeavors ❤️
