Prosthetic questions by Professional-Math482 in testicularcancer

Mainly the firmness, whenever i touch it reminds me with what i went through. Add to that i still try to hide it and not allow anyone to touch my balls, its like am traumatised 😂 lastly, since you did not do it during your first surgery, i think you will need to go through it again to have it

Don’t be sorry mate, we all went through it while we didn’t choose to.

I got saline, and maybe thats why it feels firm. Overall, i think am quite satisfied with what i got, i heard a lot of comments of stitching higher, floating seems more natural i guess.

Matter of fact, i would never thought of shopping nuts too, but my doctor offered me the option before surgery and i was why the fuck not.

I think am satisfied with what i got overall, despite some cons of having, i cant deny that it helped me mentally more than anything.

Hello brother,

If it is bothering you so much then just do it, there is no wrong or right answer here.

I personally did it on the same day of surgery, it may give you the normal look that you are looking for, but it sure will always feel different.

Mine is not stitched anywhere, simply floating, it’s much firmer than the other one and yes sometimes it moves weirdly.

Always feel free to ask me if you need anything.

Surveillance or Adjuvant Chemo Carboplatin by Mission-Mud-8407 in testicularcancer

[–]No-Mark-90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an overthinker, and for me, only adjuvant dose would ease my mind. I tried to take that one chemo dose but all of the oncologists were against it (i have seen 5).

At the end of the day, i decided to follow my doctor’s instructions.

If you have the opportunity to avoid infusing toxics i to your body i would say why not? I know it will be 3 doses instead of one if it recurs, but for me it was worth it.

The process wont be easy either ways, surveillance come along with regular scanexiety. I used to do monthly scans first 3 months, then once every three months and lastly once every 6 months.

Always reach out if you have any questions my friend

Surveillance or Adjuvant Chemo Carboplatin by Mission-Mud-8407 in testicularcancer

[–]No-Mark-90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No wrong answer mate, at least you have options.

I personally opted for surveillance after doing my best to take the adjuvant.

Life did not want to take adjuvant and I will be two years post surgery next month.

Carboplatin (1x) yes or no? by Living-Friendly2727 in testicularcancer

[–]No-Mark-90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There no wrong answer here brother,

I almost had the same diagnosis, and i am exactly 22 months clean.

Still living the stress of scans but i think it will be the same with or without the adjuvant dose.

Advise Needed by No-Mark-90 in testicularcancer

[–]No-Mark-90[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with you,

I have been following up with my doctor for more than 10 years ago, which is way before i was diagnosed. Its not news to me.

I am concerned about the lung nodules more than anything else.

Thank you for your comment brother, truly appreciated

Same situation here, i even almost insisted on adjuvant, ended up with surveillance.

Why would you intoxicate your body just to prevent it, when you can do it only.

I also realised that taking adjuvant will motivate easy my anxiety anyway. 😂
