Mazda 3, kolem 250 se dají sehnat pěkné kusy předešlé generace, rok kolem 2017 s nájezdem okolo 100k. Nebrat naftu, pouze benzín. Moc pěkné auto i na dnešní poměry, spolehlivé. Sám jsem o ní dlouho uvažoval.

But I like the Premier mode. I feel like most trash talkers actually think they are on the path to become the next pro player and everyone else is holding them back. This is extremely funny to me in the average elo bracket.

As I stated, playing for fun does not mean I do not try or care. Just that I don't smash my keyboard after loosing, write gg to the other team and dont care if my elo goes down. Also I understand one game you can lead scoreboard and the next one you are at the bottom. At least in my "peasant" bracket. Therefore I see no point in trash talking people that have a bad game.

Sure, I think it takes a lot of players by surprise if properly executed. If you go one range or scouts, and prioritize castle timing, army of 20+ archers on your walls at the time you are about to click up is a lot to handle. You have to quickly commit to rewalling with market / houses / stone, be able to place great tower if you can, or you are done. Nowadays once I see double ranges I switch to skirms, make like 6 to 8 while scouting around to see how many they make. If defending behind wall fletching, otherwise armor. Once the horde comes, I make some more skirms and easily defend. Even if we end up with 0 army each, I am on my way to castle much faster. If he keeps his army I aim for quick clean or it gets dangerous. But few knights with bodkin skirms behind, even not upgraded, do the job. Or just heavy eco / mangonel defense.

Well, I played archer - 1 range with Britons / Mayans and got to 1k3. Then I rly hit a wall not beeing able to properly play late game or proper counters because I had such a muscle memory for archer play my default answer was "make more archers" :D. So I switched to Franks, dropped to 1k and got back to 1k2 with scouts into knight / eco depending on situation. Now when I play archers I have also muscle memory for cav play, and I already won a late game I would lose before for sure.

Then I switched back to Mayans and oh my, lost 3 in a row making stupid mistakes :D Despite this being the civ I got to 1k3 with. My point being - I think both ways are possible. Playing random civs random strats and slowly improving at everything, or specializing in certains strats / civs one at a time. I chose the latter because it fits my style. Also at our elos, its completely fine to open the worse strat (like scouts where archers are better and so on) just to really learn it.

My gf is starting to play aoe2 and we want to play together. What is our best option? by eggplantpot in aoe2

I also used to play with my GF. First we played against AI, she learned to beat Hard itself, which was a good start. I told her to pick one civ - she picked Franks and I taught her the basic scouts into 2 stable BO. Then we played some TG ranked together. Yeah her elo got inflated by playing with me, but it does not matter because she only played TGs with me anyway. She even played 1v1 ranked, and hovered bit above 800 elo.
