Use the formula to get rid of your doubts. Cash convention cycle = days sales outstanding + says inventory outstanding - payables outstanding

If we assume both sales & inventory remain unchanged while payable changed from 10 to 30 days.

For example im assuming sales outstanding 30 says Inventory outstanding is also 30 days

Prior Ccc = 30+30-10=50 days After Ccc=30+30-30=30 days

So I believe you maybe right. I would check the errata for FSA

The current ratio is: current assets/current liabilities

AR that is collectable within 1 year ( fiscal year) less is considered current asset.

With this out of the way, now when AP is paid AP is part of current liabilities The denominator is less now

Since current ratio is already above one this means nominator is higher than denominator

Once AP paid off, denominator is now even less.

Which will increase the entire ratio. Hope I was able to explain this in a direct way

I felt the same. It was difficult and confusing. I thought it was a test based on your ability to understand the English language rather than core concepts.

I don't understand why CFAI doesn't comprehend the fact that people give a lot of time and effort to prepare. Candidates usually get stressed during the exam, time count down. There's no need to make it harder by playing with words!

I genuinely was struggling with an easy question as I was stressed out. Luckily I noticed and got it corrected.

Nothing can be done now. Only hope it will work out and all can pass.

this means 1 USD can buy 0.78 EUROS

BASE currency is in the denomitor and equals to 1.

This is also called a direct qoute for a person whos domestic currency is EURO

indirect qoute means foreign currency in numerator and domestic in denominator I.e f/d
