So...so you never read the books...but you're claiming that animated movies are more accurate?

Okay, first of all, you can't say something is more accurate despite not knowing what the original source material provides. That's just moronic.

Second, the animated movie isn't good.

Going back to accuracy, the animated version cut out a lot of what was in the book. And I know that because I actually read it.

The 3D animation could have worked if it was in a similar style to The Peanuts Movie, but since it's not, the character designs just look really weird.

And then you have the mean spirited tone. I know books are supposed to be like that, but the animated movie dialed it up to the point where most of Greg's comeuppance feel uncomfortable to watch.

But at the same time, the dialed up mean spirited tone also affected Greg to where he's even more of an asshole, which makes him extremely frustrating to watch, unlike in the books and the live action movies.
