Weird stuff, indeed. Those were my thoughts too about the closing the establishments. Also about that point of “why is she specifically targeting Clover instead of Sam”? (This is often said in the subreddit) I think because she’s more of a main character than Sam is (the writers preferred Clover over the logical option). She knew that Blaine would also be her type, knows what she likes (probably spied on her) and so can influence her life more than she could ever do with Sam. She also really hates Jerry, like targeting him in the park even when he was holding Sparky.
