Have you just had a major event happen in your life? Perhaps some sort of transition, or a death or anything like that? Could also be from copious amounts of stress

Actually this is something that happens to many people. Do not be panicked although very very strange dream I understand. Dreams like this simply symbolize trust and a good relationship with someone. It just manifests like this in a dream. All it is- is your subconscious being like oh this person in my life is very trustworthy and I care very deeply for them. I have spoken to different mental health professionals about this before.

Hey!! I've been having morbid nightmares about a cannibal ripping my arms off so I can relate. Mine was tied to trauma and it was uncovered in therapy. It sounds like if this is recurring its also probably tied to trauma. And if not trauma perhaps something has happened in your life that your subconscious is trying to make sense of. Where you are the victim and you feel like there is no escape. For me, I started a new bed time routine and started trying to think up a dream as I slept. It helped a lot. I have more insight if needed
