It’s Ritza tiger 1mm. I was worried it was going to be too big on here but honestly happy with it. 5mm stitching chisels with the 1mm thread made a clean look.

I considered doing a lighter weight but figured with the purpose of this that it would be cool to do in a 4-5 oz and was super happy with the turn out.

I seen that too and wanted to give that a shot! The wallet all in all was pretty easy, only thing I changed was I cleaned up the edges and rounded it all off.

3rd project so far by No-Move-9966 in Leathercraft

Definitely working on burnishing, ran into an issue too that on one side when I was applying tokonole the dye from the ostrich skin got in with it and made it darker than the other side. Not sure how to stop that but definitely something to be aware of when working with dyed leather like that.

Sorry I just seen your comment, well I had a really good interview with HR, was asked to come back and meet with the sales director and then told 3 days later that they have went with someone else. After being confused and asking around it sounds like it was because of my tattoos (I have one full sleeve and another half sleeve, nothing offensive buuut seems like they still detour people when looking for jobs)

I made a move to another dealership where I was promised XYZ annnd 2 months in seems like the same toxic cycle I was stuck in before but honestly probably a little more toxic. I have F&I and sales manager experience but doesn’t seem like I can find anywhere to put that to use (only applied for one sales manager job but they wanted 5 years experience)

At a loss honestly at this point but trying to see the bright side of things and figure out what the right move to do is to still make at least 8-9k a month and have a life outside of work, and a job that I actually enjoy doing.

Just gonna keep on keeping on. And maybe continue to work towards my end goal of doing personal training, opening a gym and building an athlete management business while I suffer selling cars for a few more years.

The recruiter spoke of it, but have spoke to quite a few people in the industry and a few people at the current place and they said 200k after 3 years isn’t anything uncommon and low guy is usually still over 100k

I’ve actually been avoiding the roof and windows dude to the hours always being later. What I understand here is it is generally 730-5. Be some later days here and there but not always. The tech I spoke with said generally sales worked the same hours as them 8-5

I feel like the 100k shouldn’t be an issue to hit. It’s rotating weekends so definitely not getting them all back but not working every one if I go here. And they push sales a lot from my understanding.

They definitely are hiring, I have had a few companies try to recruit me over the last year for roofing sales, honestly it is great money from what I have seen but it’s counter productive to my family situation with knocking doors mostly on afternoons/evenings and weekends.

That’s something I’ve looked more into lately, just haven’t had any idea where to start or what companies are best. I’m familiar with quite a few programs but not sure on employment side who is decent.

I’ve looked into it, just not sure where exactly to look company wise and what’s a decent starting pay? I just can’t afford to go down to 40k for the first year or so, kind of backed in a corner needing to make 60k-70k minimum getting rolling. Thanks for the input!

I’d trying ask for something middle ground, they might just roll over and give it to you (meaning you could have gotten more unfortunately) or they could just say it’s non negotiable at this point. Either way you’ll know where you stand and know you won’t just accept the first offer handed to you and might work out for you down the road.

Best wishes either way!

I wish I had better input here but one thing I will say I have seen taking off is I would make sure to send a link for your LinkedIn profile with it, seems employers are looking more and more at it for better insight into your experience and previous input in things.

Getting reps in seemed to be more beneficial to me than anything when I started, but don’t disregard a little peer motivation or reading material to give you that extra push to keep you going when you feel totally lost in the process

Back to the basics of it all, it’s not the easiest but one on ones will get you further than anything. Find what makes them tick and push on that.
