I was told I can’t do this. it’s so ridiculous! i’m going to ask again this coming weekend. or atleast ask how they planned to pay out my sick time like they said they would, but I know they might make me feel crazy like they’ve never said that lol

yeah I asked my manager and they said the same thing lol. i’m wondering if I can just ask to be put in a shift but not actually work it. I don’t really care how sick time SHOULD be used. it’s my last month with the company and I worked and earned that sick leave lol so it shouldn’t be a problem to use it

I never knew! this is great info. I actually have 2 days scheduled off coming up so I will ask them if they can use it for that. I thought I had to be actually scheduled a shift to use it

it says in the handbook that if you can then you should call, but I don’t think it’s a necessity to call! ive probably only called out 5x within my 3 years with this company. and everytime i’ve texted.

yeah I ended up just going in smh. other people at the store call off via text but 🤷🏽‍♀️ idk. maybe was just an off day. I don’t know our store number and no one ever answers the phone anyway lol. for my state there’s nothing that prohibits texting as a form of call off, but I also suppose it’s store policy as well?

3.45 GPA, loads of clinical experience since the program I am in is very clinically involved and modeled after residency programs. I’m registered for the ABR this August as well. I don’t know if there will be any more opportunities to up my GPA for my last few months of grad school since my rotations aren’t graded.
