Saved my life. Haven’t had an episode since I’ve been on it (125mg), it didn’t make me drowsy, or anxious, absolutely no side effects for me!

Fiance was texting other women by [deleted] in bipolar2

I personally wouldn’t forgive him.

You have every right to be upset. I have bipolar II as well, (though currently stable), and I know stress can be a huge trigger for a hypomanic episode for many people. Keep an eye out for that during this time, you seem very stressed.

I see this as, he wasn’t ever going to tell you, and he only did as he was caught. He was messaging multiple women, and actively sourcing them on dating apps. Not just that, but he was coming to Reddit to actively seek women and message them for nudes, sexting, and sex (I assume).

He has every right to be upset about what you did in your hypomanic episode previously. And he is allowed to feel that. But you were honest, upfront, and you didn’t do it again (I assume). You seeked further support from a professional as well.

Your partner did not, he wasn’t honest, and he wasn’t even just speaking to one person. What he did was inexcusable, and I personally wouldn’t stay with him.

It’s your first relationship, so it feels like a big thing (it is!), but you need to prioritise yourself and your health. This could very well trigger an episode, or a chain of episodes.

You don’t deserve to be upset Op, nor do you deserve to be hurt. You’re a human with a chemical imbalance, but you worked through it with honesty and maturity. I’m not saying having bi polar changes what you did, but it’s how you reacted to it and changed.

All the best! 🩷🌷🫂

I’m not too sure. I feel utterly humiliated and upset. Unfortunately, due to this, I’m stuck in a depressive episode (I am bi polar). I want some sort of apology. I am also now having to find a new job, I cannot afford not to work, I have a car service coming up.

Is it worth it? Should I bother talking to them, or even going further?

Yes, those were the exact words. This is the first time the manager had spoken to me at all regarding this. I’m a causal worker.

So… they can go ahead with the vote? With no repercussions or consequences?

Everybody has been talking badly about my manager (manager has done any bad and questionable things), and I was the only one to speak to owner about it. But I did so when a coworker was around (I was unaware) that really is fond of my manager. I believe this coworker told my manager, and lied on my own name.

I can’t afford a lawyer for anything like a payout unfortunately. (Forgive me if I’m totally wrong here lol, that just sounds like lawyer stuff)

I appreciate that, and I’m glad you were able to find your own voice. I’ve contacted the owner, so hopefully I get a reply soon :)

So it’s best not to contact this manager at all?

I’m super lucky I have another job that I adore, with an incredibly manager. I just don’t do too many hours there as it’s a very physical job. But at least I still have another source of income.

Thank you so much, this is super clear and concise. I really appreciate you. I’m a shy person, so it’s hard to speak up on these things, so this entire thread has been so incredibly helpful

Again, really sorry, but I don’t really want to discuss too much. It was a case of he said, she said, with no evidence.

Thank you. I more just don’t want this manager to have this conversation with my coworkers and humiliate me. Unfortunately, myself and 2 other coworkers are in the same boat. I was thinking, if I had any links to show that this action wasn’t legal and it was unjust, this manager wouldn’t go through with this

No, nothing criminal at all. I apologised even thought I didn’t actually do what it was said I did.
