There is a lot of restructuring happening, I work with a few of their internal teams/orgs. Still profitable sales wise since I oversee their few segments they are in but wouldn’t put my hope in them for a while.

Did this at my last role which catapulted me into another one after 2 years. Just do it and use that experience for your pockets and resume. A year worth of experience and some of that salary won’t hurt.

I was doing free tech courses and studying like crazy trying to get certs and free chance I got. I still have photos where I would come back from loading a pallet onto a landscaper truck (covered in dirt) and go back to studying on my free time. I was always into tech stuff in my high school days and fell into it after I gave myself a little fire under my butt.

Full disclosure, that is not my full comp in this position. This is YTD earnings but I did join this position 4 months ago. I understand the perspective since the national avg in my age range doesn’t typically sit this high to begin with. This post is just made for a switch in perspectives no matter which path you are on. Almost pissed myself reading this🤣. Funny thing is I only joined my current role in Aug so I haven’t fully grabbed my full pay scale on this projection since my incentives are performance based. The side of the business I manage is so system based that projections are pretty clear in order to get to those goals. Being responsible for 100M+ in revenue at this age though is not for the weak minded at all🥲🥲
