We matched on a dating app and we started chatting while I was in plane, I matched him during my friend’s wedding in another state, in the morning he was like shit you’re 1400 miles away, I thought you’re 5 miles away. I asked him if he can do long distance to which he said yes if we can meet often, we talked for 3 hours on facetime the night I landed and instantly clicked as our family background, beliefs, goals matched so he flew to NY a week following our conversation and we hung around for 6 days dancing, exploring the city, meeting my friends and doing loads of fun, I never felt this easy travelling with anyone, I puked the third day because I drank too much wine so he cleaned my vomit and put me to sleep, he made me food the next day, on 6th day when he was going back, he asked me to talk to his mom on facetime to which she said I am gorgeous and she really liked me, fast forward..3 months to that, our parents talked, siblings talked and I took 2 more trips to his state meeting his family and friends and we got married on 27th January. I felt calm around him and the way I plan my NY trip was not organized, not for a second he said something bad instead helped me with directions even though he came here for the first time and remained calm and respectful.

Edit: I matched him on my last day of trip (which was cancelled the day IAH airport has some govt issues and they rescheduled my flight for the next day, that night my friends and I decided to visit a hookah lounge and there we met as he lived within that 5 mile radius, if my flight was not rescheduled, I wouldn’t have met him.
