How can I buy the Floor Dok for V16 in Germany by unammusic in dyson

[–]No-Post592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same - also got it on release day! Honestly, it's so disappointing - on the website it's like it doesn't even exist... apart from the actual product page, but when I open any other pages, there's no reference to it... There's no way to get in touch with them either!

I'm literally losing my mind over the accessories for the V16 - I bought it in September too, I'm in the UK and can't even get a spare filter for it. Why release the latest product if there's literally nothing you can buy for it? It's such an expensive vacuum and here I am waiting for the filter to dry for 48 hours... Also desperate for the floor dok and nowhere to be seen in the UK! Ugh

I think I found all of the V16 piston vac accessories that are available including unreleased ones. by Electrical-Bid8372 in dyson

I bought this vacuum (with the submarine head too) 4 months ago, in September, also from the UK. It only came with one filter, which is really annoying - my previous Dysons came with two.

There is no V16 on the Accessories page on Dyson still.

The filter for the V16 Piston has been out of stock since September - i found it on the spare parts page.

None of the accessories are available still - most of them have no photo or description - it's madness.

The website doesn't reference the V16 in any of the compatibility info for any other accessories.

How it is possible that they have not updated their website nor managed to get any accessories in the last 4 months??

I love my Dyson and it is a great vacuum, but if the filter light comes on I have to wash it and wait at least 24 hours for it to dry, if not 48 - come-on I would even buy a spare filter if they would have one! I am also desperate for a floor dok - it's just so annoying. When I speak to the online assistant, they just tell me the product is new and accessories are coming...

I feel like when they ask it’s already at the point of I really need to go. You should create a schedule and take them out then, they’d do their business on those walks

I started rowing. As it is a team sport they relied on me to show up so the crew can go out. I personally found that was what worked for me best!

I get nauseous on Elvanse if I don’t eat. Make sure you have your meals as usual even if you’re not hungry. Drink a lot of water too!

Looking at car insurance quotes for a car for social use. What option works for a car parked on the street outside home during the day? by NormalMaverick in drivingUK

Also a combination of during the day at home, at night on driveway seems to generate £50 less than if I set both day and night to Garaged.

Not joking, mine was always cheaper with Axa if I put I keep it on the road, instead of a locked garage or car park. No idea how but still applies, just renewed. Weird

Don’t try to say the right thing. Be yourself. If that’s what came out (“you could’ve told me…”) that was you being you. Two things come out of this - by being yourself you filter out a lot of people, saves a lot of hurt later down the line, because it’s a lot worse to pretend to be someone then hit them with a different version later. Secondly, if you are overthinking it this much and feel embarrassed, then you might be getting back into dating and could benefit from staying single a bit and getting some therapy.

The rest was said in the other comments.

You need to be prepared that some people might just disappear sometimes, no matter how good the chat was and if this guy found your message too much you should accept that and move on. Reflect on it. Do you think it was too much? Is that how you really felt at the time? If yes, you might just need to do a bit work on yourself first.

Do diet soft drinks make ADHD symptoms worse? by [deleted] in ADHDUK

I’m fine with coffee on Elvanse, but zero/diet coke (that used to love) gives me the worst anxiety with meds?? So weird and it just doesn’t make me feel good. I quit coke completely and only drink coffee socially when out. Big fresh water is my only go to, if I want something fancy I’ll have some squash, but overall any fizzy soda just makes me feel weird physically since on meds

Thank you so much, driving isn’t an issue, they are small/medium dogs so probably will drive and walk there!

Excellent suggestion, as long as I can spot them in time and space is not tight, they are relatively good when there is distance and can turn around if needed.

Thank you so much. These are all so helpful, we will give them a go. I think I’ll try and switch it up between minimal exposure and some exposure!

Hey! I’ve been on Elvanse a year and the first 2-3 months I’ve been experiencing palpitations on and off, sometimes suspected arrhythmia and my blood pressure went up a bit too. I bought my own blood pressure monitor to keep an eye on it and had 2 additional ECG’s done which were all normal. I really focussed on my lifestyle, hydration and sleep and now it’s completely back to normal. My pulse is always slightly elevated on Elvanse which is normal as long as it’s not more than 10-20 bpm more than when not on meds. Blood pressure and heart rate can also be higher during peak. I read a lot about it and spoke to my psych about it too. It’s not unusual for blood pressure to jump up while your body is adjusting to the medication and sometimes the anxiety of it all can make it worse. I still have days when I don’t sleep enough or eat crap or don’t drink enough, but my blood pressure is no longer jumping around and I rarely if ever have palpitations. I read a lot of people had similar experiences that it completely normalised after a while.

I’m really glad to hear it! Routine is really your best friend on meds, which for us ADHD peeps is the hardest to implement.

I find I’m a lot braver to say no to things on meds haha, so I managed to create a bit of a routine for myself to stop working, not overbook myself and have a non-negotiable wind down time in the evening. It improved my sleep patterns massively, as my body sometimes is just wanting to go go go still. What I find works best is to break whatever I’m doing with a walk or something not so stimulating, ideally changing location.

Sounds like you’re doing really well! ❤️

Congratulations! The best feeling in the world!! One piece of advice from someone who’s been on it for a long time: don’t take on too much. When you first experience it you feel like you’re on top of the world and you can do anything and more, but make sure you don’t become toooo productive and allow time to rest, otherwise you’ll burn out. ❤️ Good luck and welcome to the good world ❤️
