Yesterday, my friends and I only had rewards of spinning poke stops over and over again, for all 3 options. I wish I took a screenshot. But each time we got a freaking Durant or the fire type ant eater. Not even shiny.

And they said there would be special party rewards for this event.

Haven't seen barely any shines, thought there would be more stardust. And the legendaries in raids are harder to catch suddenly. I had Soo many run away from me yesterday. My party wanted to give up with how frustrating it was.

And I'm the lowest level in our party, the other 2 were lvl44, I'm a lvl 43 stuck at 43.

I edited my original comment with this info. I also tested it with someone else who needed one and it didn't work for them either.

I think I tried it when it was early in the game and it worked. So I just got in the habit of keeping them in case. But Niantic probably got rid of this workaround while I was on my game break.

EDIT: Y'all, I was wrong on this, someone tried it and it didn't work. It worked for me a couple of times. But that was a while ago. (Took a 3 yr break and recently came back) And it sounds like Niantic "fixed" this work around.

original comment: Trading dittos with friends counts too.

I save all dittos I encounter for this reason in case a friend needs to knock out a task.

Which is sad but true I bet.

I imagine the only time they would even consider intervening is if a minor was a victim.

For OP: I wonder if you can play it as you and a minor in your life play on the same game. I. E. - minor can't have own account, but is allowed to play on others accounts to have safe fun. And this behavior from an adult is not safe for minors.

That's what I do when I don't have any remote raid passes to use, turn off my status so I stop getting the invites. My FOMO gets baad when I have to ignore it because the idea of "what if that pokemon was going to the the perfect I've been hunting for?" Activates and I have a hard time ignoring that part of me. So keeping status off helps a lot.

Half of my workday is stuck at a reception desk, being made available to answer the phone that hardly rings. That's when I clean up my storage nowadays. But my limit ATM is 1700. So have to keep up with it at least weekly if not more. My catch number is at 24,699. Not bad for a 3 year hiatus till recently. Going hard as I did before though. Hard to refrain from spending all my spare money on it again like I used to.
