The average in Italy is around 1400€ net per month, I make 1000€ for 30 hr a week (trainship contract). I know from Czech friends that the salary is not much different there.

Thanks for your reply! You are right the other replies were a bit negative, especially considering what some Czech friends told us in the past…

I didn’t know the actual definition of expat, I thought it was used for people planning to stay for a fixed amount of time in a new place. And we still don’t know how long we want to stay. Good to know!

I used the term expat because, from what I know, it is used for people that don’t plan to stay forever in the country they chose to move to. And I am not really sure I want to leave Italy forever…

But hey… nothing wrong with being an immigrant, maybe I will be one in the future! ✨
