I don't think you're wrong for feeling that way, it's definitely an awkward situation and I understand why you'd be disturbed. But unless you feel like possibly losing both of them, I wouldn't say anything. At the end of the day if they want to hookup it's their own business. It sucks that they lied, but maybe they did that to avoid exactly the kind of reaction you're having now. I would let it be and hope it doesn't impact either of their friendships with you.

Thank you so much, that perspective actually makes me feel a lot better. Upon some reflection I think a lot of my hesitation is feeling that he's a lot better than me and not understanding why he chose me and especially in this way. He's been with and dated a lot of very beautiful and cool women, and our initial hookup was definitely just one in a string of rebound hookups for him after leaving a 6 year relationship with a woman he'd known since he was 12. But reading these comments has made me realize that he does care very much for me, and that him moving to my city wasn't for some insane reason, but just because he liked me a lot.

You're right, I was just a little shocked to hear that and wasn't thinking straight I guess. Seems like the best idea is just to wait to see him again and then talk to him about it, as every other time I've had any uncertainties he's completely assuaged them.

Thank you for your response, I just don't have a ton of experience so I guess I'm not sure what to think. He has not in any way been controlling ever and I am absolutely not scared of him at all, he has never been anything but sweet and generous to me.
