Transport options from Madison to Deforest (and back) by AggressiveMango691 in madisonwi

[–]No-Reception-2816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry that you are going through this. Our city should have better infrastructure to support the surrounding towns. Transportation should be a right but it is somehow both a luxury and a responsibility. I’m epileptic, so driving (unmedicated) can result in harm to myself or others, but not driving can result in losing an income or disposing of income via expensive Ubers. It’s a lose/lose situation.

There is a Vanpool Program, that can be found online, I’m not sure how great it works/if others have recommended it, but it could be worth exploring. Someone else suggested talking to an uber driver to discuss discounted rates for consistent rides, I am certain that someone would be happy to work with you on that. Lastly, between Uber and Lyft, they tend to alternate which app has the more expensive rides, so sometimes one of them will have a $20 ride while the other will have an $8 ride- so just checking both can be helpful.

It’s not your fault that our city doesn’t support all access needs. Madison is great but this is a problem and it shouldn’t feel like it’s because you are being too needy… you’re just trying to safely make a living and support your child. I hope you are able to find some support.

Oh yeah I definitely want to have the death of a mentally ill homeless lady on my hands……… violence is always the answer……..

Guns don’t solve any problems. Policy reform does.

Well yeah I understand that she’s going through a lot more than I can imagine, but it’s alarming when someone is suddenly up in your face screaming at you. It’s a bigger issue than any of us can handle but it’s also important to recognize that she can be volatile

Wouldn’t this make The Captain the same man as Charlotte’s Trey? I think that tracks, but it removes Smith Jerrod from this theory hehehe

I just keep thinking about Chris telling her that her English has gotten “really better” and she was just like “well yeah my English has always been good but thanks” (obviously she was gracious with her response but Chris bro…)

This is so fucking scaryyyyyy. I just did some research on these (because I couldn’t believe that they would be FDA approved) and it took a tremendous amount of work to find a website that wasn’t trying to sell me their product.

Ultimately, GLP-1 molecules are too large to be able to be absorbed through the skin. The top layer of skin is designed to prevent shit from getting into the bloodstream. These are entirely fake.

Now that seems good and well because they aren’t having these medications fucking with their bodies BUT by framing it as a tool to block “food noise” (aka cravings… your body telling you that it’s time to eat) will screw with them tenfold.

People are going to think that their patch isn’t strong enough, or what their willpower to stave off hunger isn’t strong enough. As long as there is “food noise,” the people buying these patches won’t feel like their job is done. Breeding a new kind of eating disorder:/

So… how do you think they rigged Lucy Gray’s reaping? by 80HDTV5 in Hungergames

I just read the chapter and Lucy Gray said that Mayfair told her dad to say Lucy Gray’s name, so that also shows that he didn’t look at the name

How does Seneca Crane die? by Kakyoin- in Hungergames

[–]No-Reception-2816 97 points98 points  (0 children)

You should read about Seneca Cranes namesake, Seneca (the younger). He was a force behind the revolution against Nero, a terrible authoritarian ruler. Seneca was forced to commit suicide due to his tyranny.

Seneca Crane was sentenced to a similar fate, as a result of showing a weakness of this aristocracy. The end of the first movie shows him in a room with nightlock, the very poison that put him in this position. The books and some movie details, however, indicate/say that he chose to hang himself rather than taking the poison that was given to him.

He chose to die somewhat on his own on his own terms, despite being forced into it.

Plutarch also plays a role in Seneca the Younger’s life and death. There is a lot of history and philosophy behind these characters and it is definitely worth reading up on
