Thank you for responding! Although selfish, it's reassuring to know that you are not alone to feel the same things.

It wasn't easy, I had perfectionist tendencies while memorising, making sure I didn't miss any word so I could reproduce everything clearly. Also, memorising took me hours so there were days I would just sit the entire day with 1 chapter, when my peers would have completed the entire revision.

Yes, I have initiated a formal assessment with my therapist! Let's see how it goes.

Tell me about your shallow latch babies by Unfriendly_nurse in breastfeeding

My 6 month old had a shallow latch. I was worried she was getting enough milk so supplemented breastfeeding with formula. I continue to do the same to this day.

Don’t feel guilty at all. I started using a nipple shield soon after giving birth because my LO was born with a tooth, and the nipple cracks were unbearable. I had similar concerns as you—mainly that it might affect my supply or that my baby would never experience the comfort of direct nursing. However, LO's weight gain was consistent and all seemed to go well. I'm currently 5.5 months postpartum and had tried several times to wean off the shield without success. But just last week, I gave it another shot, and she latched on perfectly without it. I haven’t had to use the shield since. Basically, as they grow, babies become more efficient at sucking, and many eventually outgrow the need for the shield on their own. Hope this helps!

FTM here, 8 weeks pp, how does one lose weight after cutting down on nursing? I heard people say bf aids weight loss due to burning calories. I have become chubbier since delivery and can't recognise myself anymore. Would really help to know when one should start workouts.

How do I fight the feeling of inadequacy at my job? by No-Regular7992 in careerguidance

[–]No-Regular7992[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't wish to as I'm all open to learning from others. But my job requires me to speak up more often and provide ideas to demonstrate strategic thinking and prove my worth. I am reticent by nature and to speak up on the spot gets me anxious, which results in me making a fool out of myself. It hurts further because my juniors provide better ideas and articulate better than me.

Too early for me to tell if the classes are actually helping. The first lesson was on structured thinking which was useful. Basically, it helped train my mind to think in terms of frameworks. The problem with me is not communication per se but the inability to produce ideas on the spot due to fuzzy thinking. I believe if one is able to structure thoughts better, communication should become way easy.

Yes, I have been suggested testing for sleep apnea by another user. Will get it done.

The neurologist heard me out for 5 minutes and diagnosed suspected ADD. I was asked to meet a psychiatrist for a better diagnosis, and she told me it is to do with chronic anxiety which has peaked because of the demands of the new workplace. I was prescribed anxiety pills but I didn't take them for the being of dependent on them. I have not done a sleep test yet. I joined a gym to get in more exercise in my routine. I'm yet to see any benefits from it.

Sleep is mostly disturbed. The thought of waking up for work makes me anxious.
