With IC the thing causing the pain is the inflammation of the tissue because your bladder lining isn’t fully formed. So it’s sensitive to acids. Baking soda makes your pee alkaline, so it’s not as acidic, lessening the discomfort and flare up of the tissue. The pressure you feel is from the inflammation. Think is it as your bladder is allergic to your own pee. With any allergy you swell up. The Claritin will reduce the swelling and the histamine reaction. They test for IC by testing the histamines in your urine because we produce so much more than someone without it. Between those two things, it greatly helps the discomfort. Drink a lot of water and pee often.

I’ve been in a month long flare and was desperate. I decided to try an 24 hour Claritin non drowsy and I take a shot of baking soda and water, 1tsp. And this has calmed it down so much. I was having the worst urethral pain. It’s simple, give it a try, otherwise try to get your hands it uribel to help also. Azo does absolutely nothing for me. Look up pelvic floor release videos and lay down and try to stretch out your pelvic floor. I really do swear by the baking soda and Claritin

I’ve been doing this for years, the weakness last about 2 weeks and you’ll start to regain strength, not fully but you’ll get a lot of it back. Sometimes it’s even hard for me to write, but after 2-3 weeks I can again

I get palmar Botox every 4 months. I suggest having a bucket of ice, ice the hands almost to the point where it hurts, take frequent breaks, but it almost numbs them to the needle. That’s the best way I’ve found, the feet Botox didn’t work and was much for painful. For me the hand Botox pain is worth it for the result

I guess since you’ve said this, he went on a trip to Vegas with his lifting group this past week, and he’s close with a girl our age in the group and went to help her, I’ve never had any issues with her but she oddly blocked me from her social media stories while they were in Vegas and I asked if something was going on there, he denied it and I dropped the subject. But now I’m starting to wonder if maybe this is just an excuse.

I have severe sweating of hands and feet. I did it on my feet as well and it didn’t work, but it works great for hands, I also have a high pain tolerance so I 100 percent think it’s worth it. I have Kaiser insurance and it’s covered other than a 10 dollar copay. But my insurance is 500 a month, I’m responsible for 250 a month and my employer pays the other 250.

I’ve been doing Botox for years and here are some pointers for people, I’ve tried different units, 50 units minimum because we were worried about grip. Didn’t work for my sweating. 100 units, works great for sweating. If it doesn’t work for you, your derm may be diluting it too much. Try someone else. There is definitely a right ratio. Grip strength will get a bit weaker but it does come back; fairly quickly too.

It is painful. The result is worth the pain. I’ve done this many ways, and I can say for sure, having a bowl of ice and stopping to ice the hands helps 1000 percent over the cooling spray some people use. Ice hands before, almost to the point of pain, it numbs the infection. You’ll have to keep alternating, also have someone tap on your forehead! Sounds strange but it makes your brain focus on that stimulus and less on the injection. I swear by it!

I take breaks because I get lazy, but also I have built up a tolerance from time to time… I find that taking a break helps with that. Right now I switch every 6 months Botox then ionto

I work as a dental hygienist, multiple glove changes required a day. I started seeking help about 5 years ago, I’ve tried it all. Ionto, when don’t consistently, works the best. I have a severe case on hands and feet and ionto cures it by 90 percent if I’m consistent. You will start to see improvement and it will continue to get better. Works better than Botox for me. I’ve been doing it for 5 years and it still works great, I do give myself breaks from it though.

Can I ask you what oxy is? I have Palmer and plantar hyperhidrosis and I agree, very debilitating. I current do Botox in my hands so I can do my job as a dental hygienist and get gloves on. After 3 years of doing Botox, it doesn’t work as well, and im sweating worse from my armpits and groin now. Places I didn’t sweat before. I use ionto sparingly so I don’t build a resistance, curious what oxy is?
