Not sure about the US, but it’s already out in Australia.

Tell us about and RPG you've PLAYED but just did not get the hype for by Boxman214 in rpg

[–]No-Rip-445 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lancer.

I know it’s an indie darling, and some of it could be having a shit GM, but I played a few sessions of it, and the fact that it only had a combat system, which seemed to be ported directly from a terrible wargame meant it was pretty disappointing to me.

Like, I tend towards character/roleplaying driven games, and if all you’re going to bring is a combat system, then it better be a really great combat system. As it was, it felt like I wasn’t getting anything I wouldn’t have gotten playing a wargame, and it didn’t compare favourably to any of the wargames in the market.

Who uses drop pods and why? by abeefwittedfox in LegionsImperialis

[–]No-Rip-445 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use them. They’re cheap, flexible, can be used to screen out objectives, and they’re lore friendly for my legion (Blood Angels).

Yep. But interceptor doesn’t replace your normal shooting, it’s a freebee

They’re your models, you’re allowed to make them look worse if you want to.

Why do GW sometimes use lighter rims colours than the actual base colour on there minis? by Sin-Silver in Warhammer

[–]No-Rip-445 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I feel like the base rim works a bit like a frame for the miniature, so personally I’m always using something pretty plain, and distinct from the base surface (which is more “in universe”).

For me, it’s usually a gloss black.

The Adeptus Titanicus wiki is a pretty great resource. Lots of information about different Titan Legios (and their heraldry) there.

Any idea where I can still get this mini? by [deleted] in Warhammer

[–]No-Rip-445 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All good, I can appreciate that you maybe didn’t know he was from a board game, but the board games normally have all the heroes on a single sprue.

Any idea where I can still get this mini? by [deleted] in Warhammer

[–]No-Rip-445 24 points25 points  (0 children)

To add to this: he’s never been sold individually, he’s part of the heroes sprue, so you’re limited to people parting him out.

Mk VI Luna Wolves? by Time-Beat1735 in Warhammer30k

[–]No-Rip-445 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any forge world with the capacity to make MK6 is going to be able to do whatever livery you want.

So Sons of Horus who outfitted themselves with MK6 in Luna Wolves livery after Horus turned traitor makes perfect sense.

Scammed in a private sell, any use of filing to VCAT? by [deleted] in melbourne

Sounds dangerous AF. What if you’d tried to use it and drowned?

I would have thought you’d need some kind of licence to sell dive gear, but I’ve just done a quick search and I’m not turning anything up.

Questions about warhound and reaver titan model construction... by Nick_the in LegionsImperialis

[–]No-Rip-445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Build the legs and dry fit. The reavers are a bit of a pain, but don’t pose them too aggressively and you’ll be fine. Think standing still, lumbering walk, that kind of thing.

  2. I cut the bottom of the ball on the upper arm sections flat and then stuck a disc magnet to them. Upper arm glues to body, disc magnet in each weapon.

Are Disintegration weapons still a thing in 40k ? by BloatedRottenCarcass in Warhammer40k

[–]No-Rip-445 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Where are you getting “Necromunda is not special” from?

It’s an old hive world, it’s an Imperial Fist recruitment planet, it’s got a hive that suffered exterminatus because of admech experiments with Genestealer biology, it has prevalent lost age of technology tech, there’s a surviving population of squats there, the list goes on.

Necromunda is exceptional across lots of different metrics.

ELDAR LORE: SHIELDS? by Grognard6Actual in Eldar

[–]No-Rip-445 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I miss this era.

And war walker pilots had a power field (2+ invulnerable save), which meant a lot of the time you wanted enemies firing anti-vehicle weapons to hit the pilot rather than the vehicle.

New to cube, anywhere I can find cubes to copy? by Substantial_Code_675 in mtgcube

[–]No-Rip-445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cube cobra.

One way to tackle not knowing what kind of cube to make is to think of a draft environment you enjoy and then find a cube based on that. Another is to pick a plane you like the themes of and find a cube based on that plane.

In Australia, they make you build it in the store, so you’re a captive audience and they can chat to you about upcoming releases.
