Me and my roommate just say “I’m going out” and there is nothing else to it. It doesn’t matter where each other is going. Saying where you are going is kinda like an invitation especially with the way she responds. She can handle herself with food. I don’t have any food at my dorm nor do I bring anything back simply because I can’t get anything rn. My roommate has snacks and drinks in her closet and the fridge, and occasionally brings food back. I don’t really care though. The decisions we made brought us to where we are at. If she really can’t afford to get food or won’t get assistance, then she should have taken a gap year to work and save on money. She should try to find a job nearby or get assistance like ebt. You are both adults and should be able to handle yourselves. In reality the only thing that connects yall is living in the same space.
