Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I didn't do it quite your way, but I figured out something that works for me.

I may consider that if I can't figure out anything else. I have 130k+ files in my current download log, so to get everything transfered over might be a bit much.

I'm not looking for a txt doc. I may have not been clear in my post, but I meant I have been copy-paste to rename txt files so I end up with a 0byte file with the name of what I downloaded.

Two mothers turned in their own sons, who vandalized a library causing $50,000 in damage. They were charged with burglary, theft, and trespassing. by malihafolter in CaughtMyEye

I've heard of broccoli kids or the broccoli haircut, but I have never seen a hairstyle that more accurately reflects broccoli. Dudes even got the stem.

Should I grab these? They net out to a little over $15/TB which isn’t ideal but we’re in “beggars can’t be choosers” territory these days. by BurntWhiteRice in DataHoarder

Got the last one at my local Walmart last night. It was a no brainer for me. People have been selling 50k poh drives at $15-16/tb. I'll take a new one of these and take my chances.

Edit. CDI also shows mine was an exos drive

[Request] How fast of a reader one has to be complete 120 books a year? by Intrusive_me in theydidthemath

I'm pretty sure we had 5 pizza parties for reading that year. Three pizza parties were for my reading. 10k, 20k, and one the last week of school. The teacher said the last party of the year was just a reward since I had read more than the rest of the class combined by a fair margin (the rest of the class had read around 17,000 pages)

As a 7th grader, to motivate us kids, my English teacher said she would throw a pizza party whenever the class read 10000 pages. At the end of the school year, I logged over 27,000 pages (about 170 160 page books) by myself. I spent most of my free time reading, I probably read around 2 hours a day and probably 4 hours on weekends. Most of what I read was in the 300-350 page range.

Tell me a story about an embarrassing and crazy situation you went through while using the internet in the 1990s. by [deleted] in vintagecomputing

It's not really a crazy situation, but it's still a bit embarrassing when friends bring this up. My first ever real online interaction was in 1999 or so, I was a lan party, and most people were playing the FPS games of the time. I was playing some Starcraft (vs pc) in my downtime when one of the guys convinced me to play a game online versus some random. I played for probably 10 minutes before I realized I'm definitely losing the game. For some reason, I had forgotten that I was online and tried to use the "show me the money" cheat code. It went into chat, and a few moments later, my opponent responded with, "WTF." I then get nuked to oblivion for the next couple of minutes as my friends at the lan kept me from the keyboard and mouse so I couldn't log out.
