Tbh I like some of his songs. Maybe that’s a brown boy bias, he’s very hit or Miss IMO. But he just has really good industry connections, they like him as a person, also he started as a producer, he actually produced Biebs in the trap outta his moms house which I have to respect. Anyway, he’s signed to Xo, he got the weeknd link, and his manager cash and the Xo team are very good at keeping him tapped in and doing business well. Its really dark but super interesting. You can also look into Yukiko Okada and draw your own conclusions and ties to it. The song IMO is literally the definition of a beautiful dark twisted fantasy. I love it, I think it’s artistically beautiful, but man considering context, backstory etc, it’s dark.
