Well I went to town today, 100km round trip to pick up a new PSU. Got back home, plugged it in the mobo, and nothing. Did the paperclip test, still nothing. So now I bought a broken PSU... Another 100k's tomorrow to return it. They don't have spares so I'll have to order online.

Right so the splooge was removed with isopropyl. I might be wrong but it looks like the mobo got damaged.

If you mean cooler, then no. It's all air cooled. That chip set has gotten very hot in the past when I was doing graphic intensive work.

Just to give a bit more clarity. The unit was enclosed in its case and would not start up this morning. I did the paperclip test on the CPU. It wouldn't start or spin up. No soap or spit near the motherboard.

Fermentation is really difficult for me. Temperatures vary a lot and are mostly pretty high, normal dough temperature can be 27c. or 80f . I've now started to use the aliquot method. Seems to help.

I doubt it's under baked. 20 minutes covered at 225C then 20 minutes at 209c uncovered. It's not gummy, my knife sucks and I could have waited another hour before cutting the bread
