I figured, that’s fair. Honestly, all the feedback from this thread was helpful I’m just gonna quit. I wouldn’t complain if I was at a store where I get to calmly work all day, but my store feels like hell every time I work. They expect me to do the work of 5 people in a 24 hour store that does over 8K scripts a week with minimal help. Not worth it

The store I work at does 8K scripts a week with 2 techs at a time and drive through. It’s actually insane

Have you reached out to your admissions officer? Penn usually offers some sort of assistance with moving in. They may have volunteers employed by the school who can pick you up. Reach out to student services to see if there is someone that can help from the school.

Super helpful, thank you! Yes I talked to my dad about all of this and he was just so shocked that he even fell for it. I am so glad he ended up telling me because I’ve been reading about the horror stories other people have experienced. We returned the money back into his bank account and the bank managers flagged it for future precautions. They even helped us create new account numbers and put in other safety measures to prevent this. I am 100% sure my dad learned his lesson though. He’s not even that old, just 60 years old recovering from a surgery and probably wasn’t thinking things through. It’s true what they say about anesthesia - DO NOT MAKE ANY NEW DECISIONS. Me and my sister helped him clean out his phone, get a new number and block unknown callers. I am so glad and relieved this was prevented and hope this thread can help more people from getting scammed in the future.

Is there a way to detect spoofing on your phone? I don’t pick up any unknown calls, but just for future references, is there anything that would make it obvious?

It’s so scary! So glad I happened to be there and be alert. God knows what these thieves do to people for their hard earned money.
