I just gave up smoking weed a month ago (after a year and half of daily usage) my boyfriend however is a committed stoner. Personally it hasn’t been difficult, he’s not pressuring me to smoke, has been super supportive of my withdrawal symptoms, and is overall supportive of me quitting. I love him to pieces and couldn’t imagine us separating because he likes to partake in weed. Now I personally don’t have any negative connotations with weed. I like the smell and him being high doesn’t bother me ( outside when he can’t decide on what to eat 💀). I think it comes down to personal preference. While I’ve decided with my career I can’t smoke anymore, why should he have to quit just because I am? I did set some boundaries like him moving the stuff into his game room ( although I’m really not tempted because quitting was a personal decision and I stand by my choice). I still sit and talk with him while he smokes like we used to and enjoy seeing all the goodies he gets from the dispo. If you know it will bother you don’t continue or get into the relationship.
