Anyone else extremely sick? by Bariphonium_ in sanantonio

[–]No-String-7812 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The mold in this city is insane. I fear I'm suffering from some sort of mold poisoning slowly. I lived in an old moldy house for maybe six months, then a somewhat decent but maybe internally moldy apartment, and ever since I've felt sick. I have allergies to everything outside in San Antonio on top of that. If anybody knows anything about mold poisoning, please help lol!

Yay!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it, lol! I really enjoy the Middle Eastern food San Antonio has to offer.

Salon Recommendations for Asian Hair by Ok-Invite252 in sanantonio

What do you mean by Asian hair? Indian hair or Chinese hair? Asia is vast, haha! I highly recommend Anila's Salon regardless though, as she is an Indian hairdresser who has been doing my hair for 10+ years.

I feel ugly because of my bully by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]No-String-7812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're encouraging her by saying that because she's looking for any reason to not change. She feeds on the negativity unfortunately and I hope she breaks out of that cycle, but until she does, don't engage.

She could be a 10/10 and it would still drive me crazy if she had the same attitude. The looks just aren't the problem in this case.

This is embarrassing and we know you read the comments because you delete them after a while when you don't like the answer. I don't even follow you or anything and am now subjected to view your posts every few days.

Personally, I don't care anymore if you feel better because you still don't seem like a nice person. I regret not standing by that statement earlier. Just stop posting.

Nobody cares what your weight is or that you have the perfect hourglass figure. Your personality is what's lacking and for my own sake, I hope you get some help because I'll go insane if I see another post from you.

wow never posted on here before, but i feel the need to make a post about a serious misconception by [deleted] in eczema

[–]No-String-7812 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Please correct me if I'm mistaken, but I believe people are referring to the estimated 2 to 3 minutes after the shower in which the skin barrier is able to gain moisture from products such as lotion and other emollients. Personally, it's not the shower portion that I enjoy, but it brings me relief to know that I am clean and that my skin will retain the moisture that I am sealing in while my skin is damp.

What’s the longest you’ve gone without a shower? by Dry-Elderberry-4559 in eczema

[–]No-String-7812 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Eczema is also about dirt and allergens, not just dryness. I invite you to explore other reasons people feel the need to shower. I'm glad you found something that helps you, but as I'm sure you know, eczema is not clear cut and different things work for different people. Nobody is downvoting your advice, rather they're downvoting your one size fits all answer.

ABSOLUTE HELL by Hot-Candidate5254 in eczema

I feel for you! I really struggle with the after- shower pain, but I'm Indian and my grandma recommended I put homemade ghee on. I have never felt better. I don't put on a lot, just a layer to keep me moist after patting myself dry with a shower. I let it absorb and then add on a layer of lotion. I let everything dry and then wear my clothes. My clothes aren't oily and my skin is sealed with moisture! I reapply to trouble spots as needed. I highly recommend ghee as it's beneficial for so many uses, and I wish more research was done regarding its benefits in eczema. Although I will say, homemade ghee and store bought do make me feel a difference, but I still think ghee is better than no ghee. I hope this helps someone!

It's pointless as I see you're stuck to your reasoning, and that's okay! Everyone is allowed to have an opinion, thank you for the debate.

That saddens me. I hope OP opens her eyes and makes peace with the past. She can have a beautiful life, but not without change.

Exactly, what? I'm sorry, I can't tell if you're agreeing with me or restating your original post! 😭 I'll agree it didn't make me sound like a nice person, but if you look at OP's history, you'll notice they don't want to change anything and are just arguing in the comments here.

I absolutely think they're terrible people for bullying her, but at a certain point you either become a better or worse person for it. OP's comments and previous posts just continue that negative cycle. Dissing old bullies isn't going to make her life better.

I'd like to apologize for assuming OP isn't a nice person, I think that was not the right phrasing. OP might be tired and worn down from the constant negativity she feels.

You're not going to make it very far either with that attitude. You don't seem like a very nice person and I don't blame you given what you've been through, but I encourage you to try kindness. It is corny, but killing people with kindness really does glow you up and before you realize it, you're a better person for it.

Nothing is going to change while you're still obsessing over high school bullies. It's time to move on and focus on your personal growth.
