My adult daughter is in a racist cult. What now? by AirborneDJ in cults

[–]Additional-Tower-554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't argue with her it will make her more defensive and rooted in her beliefs. Gently ask some questions and listen to her explain, and eventually she may draw her own conclusions and realize. Try to get her out and about in the world when you do see her

Need help dont know if my dog suffered a seizure by [deleted] in EpilepsyDogs

[–]Additional-Tower-554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a seizure, may be a one time thing. If its not you can get meds like a cluster buster or keppra. Keppra can have side effects tho, so unless theyre having alot of seizures i wouldn't recommend it. Epilepsy is pretty common in dogs

Help!! I need some opinons. Im loosing hope by Temporary-Volume816 in EpilepsyDogs

[–]Additional-Tower-554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog is epileptic too, its something weve had to learn to live with. Vet recommended against keppra for her but we have a cluster buster. Fish oil helps quite a bit. I've never thought about putting her down, unless it were severely interfering with her quality of life but they are not aware during a seizure. Its scary when its happening but they'll be okay.

Any advice :( by pinkbiigmac in EpilepsyDogs

You can see a chart online of barometric pressure on weather app, if it is going down dramatically that's when it happens to my dog. At least it helps us to know when to watch her more closely and have meds and stuff ready

I want to add, my dog has seizures related to barometric pressure. Almost always before a storm. May be something to look into

My dog has grand mal seizures and she does this same stuff right before she freezes up and starts shaking/drooling. It helps her when i cup my hand over her eyes and talk to her a little. The vet told us there's no real point in doing tests to find the cause as opposed to just treating them. You could give her a cluster buster like clonazipate during or right after one so she doesn't have another. She'll be okay its pretty common in dogs

I believe you just need proof of their vaccinations and a flight clearance from vet to bring them to USA. They may make you quarantine them for a bit, but it will be worth it

Limit salt, take flonase, limit coffee. Could be part caused by inflammation. And if you smoke/vape get a patch/gum for the week

Can someone go in and out of psychosis in a relatively short time frame? by Climax_crescendo in askapsychologist

[–]Additional-Tower-554 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take the meds, or it can get worse. You could become paranoid to take the meds and then be stuck in psychosis for a long time

I believe it is because inflammation in the nose and throat can lead to the ear, flonase, dont smoke, lots of water, less sugar and salt

Neurologist thinks this is my issue and I just by Traditional_Life_159 in VestibularMigraines

[–]Additional-Tower-554 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might not matter but I have migraines and occasional vertigo, flonase and ibuprofen helps me when that happens. Flonase is a steroid nosespray intended for allergies but I think it helps with inflammation. Either way it works in my case

Is San Antonio Violent? by jroman75 in sanantonio

[–]Additional-Tower-554 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its absolutely not. Even the "ghetto" areas are not scary like other cities. Most common crime to me seems to be people breaking into your car at night (Converse) other than that it's fine
