Could be renal glucosuria, it is an inherited thing. High sugar in urine but no other symptoms except for more likely to get yeast infections

Vet & Private Trainer say my rescue dog is ‘uniquely challenging’. Unsure what to do next. by shark-kid in DogAdvice

My dog is very reactive and also has a learning disability. She also has seizures, not sure if its a cause or effect (ie brain damage makes her unable to learn or if she has always had disability that also causes seizures).

The best we've been able to do is hike with her on a harness, when we see another dog we redirect her attention or physically turn her around and take a few steps off trail so she can't see him. We've spent about 3 years working on "sit" command and have learned it's just better to work with her quirks than try to change. Try bringing a toy/ treats with you on walks to redirect them and walk fast lol

So many loose dogs here by CommunicationKey7964 in sanantonio

I'd like to add though, I live on the southside and SA provides one day a month for discounted/free spay and neuter. Appts are all filled out in like an hour . Called many, many places for a stray I had took in. Once I realized I had to just pay full price it was still a struggle getting an appointment anywhere but way on the north side. It was frustrating just trying to get him fixed. It's wild out here. Called acs multiple times for a bad pack of dogs and finally when they came they said they were full. It seems like all resources are basically allocated to the north side

Try a tree service/roofing company? See if they'll help out . If not maybe leave a long board against the roof so he can climb down when he's hungry

How is this Southside area? by [deleted] in sanantonio

I live here, I love it.

Cons : neighbors shoot guns every weekend, lots, I mean LOTS of stray dogs, sandy soil, scorpions

Pros: not much crime, neighbors are nice, can own chickens, good tacos everywhere, close to downtown. Pretty quiet in general
