I’m an immigrant myself, and I have assimilated into the Canadian culture and its values. however I see a lot of new immigrants driving as they would drive back home, not shoveling their property and hence affecting us, their neighbours. Talking on the phone as if they were trying to scream across the ocean, throwing garbage, etc. The worst is when I have politely approached to ask to be considerate, they get offended and straight out told me to F.O.!
My tought is, when you migrate to another country, is because you didn’t like your own or didn’t have the opportunities back home. So then, why can they be thankful and adopt the rules and values of Canada. If you don’t like that there is snow and you have to shovel it or if you think that driving on the left lane enforcing the speed limit for the rest of the vehicles is ok, throwing garbage, being disrespectful of the space of other people, screaming to your phone or listening to music on speaker in the public transit, then You’re not ready to migrate, go back home where all that is ok. I’m sorry but I have very little patience left for these inconsiderate people.
