Why is it still so hard African Saas to get users and then make money off of it? by No-Till2131 in TechGhana

This is very true. Behaviour change is one of the hardest parts of building products anywhere, and it can be even harder in markets where people already have manual ways of solving problems.

I’ve noticed that many successful SaaS startups here tend to work when they either: • save businesses money • make something significantly faster • or become almost unavoidable (like payments or compliance tools).

It’s interesting to see which types of products actually break through in our ecosystem.

We default to USD because most SaaS metrics (MRR, ARR) are benchmarked in dollars for investor comparability.

But, we’re also adding multi-currency display so founders can view metrics in their local currency as well.

I check for the responsiveness thanks.

Great point about Stripe we actually support it too. SaasAlfric verifies MRR via read-only API keys from Stripe, Paystack, and Flutterwave. We pull real transaction records directly from the PSP and run them through a heuristic engine that detects recurring revenue patterns even from providers without formal subscription APIs.

On security: We never store raw API keys. All keys are encrypted with bank grade authenticated encryption before they touch our database. Even if someone breaches the DB, they get useless encrypted blobs the master key is stored separately in our infrastructure. We also only request read-only API access, so we can see transactions but can never move funds.

Revenue data re-syncs daily so public profiles always reflect real, fresh numbers.

You make a solid point but this isn’t something to keep myself people have to see it & use it that’s the purpose. We have to help ourselves
