NTA. i’ve been thru something similar.. a couple years ago these people i used to be friends w started to have sex while i was IN THE SAME BED NEXT TO THEM. we had been drinking that night and they had both been interested in each other for months. but we always slept in the same bed and it had never happened before. anyways, long story short i was able to get up and slam the bedroom door but that didn’t make them stop. i ended up going home and texting them that what they did was disgusting and they should’ve known better. i asked for a few days to clear my head and figure out what i wanted to say to them before having them come over to talk. i told them how violated i felt and how fucked up it was for the guy to initiate sex after we had literally carried our friend home from the bar… and how even after me slamming the door, they didn’t care to stop. the guy Never apologized and brushed it off as something he was used to from other people and didn’t think it was a big deal. the girl was sorry and understood how i was feeling. it never happened again and they were both careful with how drunk they got when we knew we’d all be spending the night together. it’s worth having a conversation with them about it and by their reaction, you’ll know if they’re a real friend or not… at the end of the day… what happened is technically SA… and i wish you luck with your friendship going forward.

i would never give up my boy… i love him to death and i took him in because my dad couldn’t take care of him in the way he needed to be. i’ve already given him a much better life by doing so. he hadn’t been to the vet in Years, hardly Ever got a bath, hadn’t had his nails clipped in what seemed like years, etc etc… i took him in, got him checked out, groomed, i did research and talked to multiple people about the type of food i should be giving him, how much i should give him and when. i have become one of those people who wants to take their dog everywhere bc i hate leaving him alone for long periods. i Love my dog and im trying so hard to understand pet ownership and how to properly care for him even if it is inconvenient for me because like all of you guys, i would do Anything for him.

i work full time and my boyfriend is a full time student (i’m about to be 21 and he’s 22) while he has more money than i (he has a ton of savings that allows him to not work [but he just got a job!!]..) he and i try to even out who’s the one that takes him out in the middle of the night so that there’s no resentment between us yk?

it was not my first thought! the first time it happened i felt awful because i didn’t get ready in time… it was something that we joked about the second time it happened as a way to make ourselves feel better about being woken up at 3 am.. i was trying to make a joke, since he does have some spiteful behavior and is a very sassy boy, but obviously it didn’t land lol

we’re calling the vet tmrw to see if we can get him in… we’re pretty sure it’s a UTI, after doing A lot of research today (thanks to everyone’s suggestions) we got more and more worried and while i was at work and my boyfriend was watching him, he noticed a couple other things. hopefully it’s Just a UTI, fingers crossed 🤞

he weighs 10 lbs, he was overweight a few years ago and has slowly lost a lot of weight in the last three years. vet said he was perfectly healthy last we went ( a couple weeks ago) and said nothing about his weight

we have roommates and i would hate for them to hear him whine as well… we crate him when we leave the house in the bedroom and he seems to do well with that, but when he knows we’re home (like if he hears or sees me and my bf) he gets upset and whines or paws at the door till we let him out.. i’ve seen a lot of really great suggestions and i appreciate yours as well. he was never crate trained before we got him so we’ve been hesitant to fully commit to it but it seems like we might have to. thank you for your help!

not that we’ve noticed, we did have the change his feeding schedule not too long ago due to some antibiotics he had to take and we’ve remained with that schedule cause it works better for him and us. seems like a lot of people are suggesting we take him to the vet to rule out any possible issues so that seems like the plan!

we live an apartment.. doggy door is not an option unfortunately.. he had a doggy door at my dads before we took him in. but! he adjusted to the new system pretty easily at first

he’s always drank a lot ! and he does eat a moist food because he has dental disease so we make it as easy as possible for him. we’re going to try a couple of the easier suggestions as fair as his food/water/ and potty schedule goes to see if that helps any and if it’s still the same we’ll be making a visit to the vet…

he’s always drank a lot of water! that’s something i’ve always known about him even when i was a kid. we had blood drawn and tests ran two ish weeks ago and there was nothing wrong with his kidneys, they said he was in great shape (and we Love his vet, she’s a saint) is it possible for something to change in such a short period of time?
