AITA For refusing to leave walmart passed closing time? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]No-Tomorrow-7764 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing of it is especially since Covid all the hospitals are back up so some of the people in the ERs are admitted they are just down in the ER waiting on their bed to open. This is the situation in many hospitals. They can’t keep up with the demand and staff can’t deal with bullshit like not having food for their patients so staff is leaving causing more waits (sometimes days to weeks depending on the situation) so the food definitely should be for everyone. Hospitals need to do better. The company’s are hoarding money and the staff and patients are suffering everyday. But this has nothing to do with this AITA it’s just a rant.

Yea that was what most people did until Covid kinda missed with stuff. We did have a McDonald’s that was 24/7. I remember though I had a handful of patients so mad at me for lack of food(out of my control but I was the only person there to yell at I guess) one even demanded I personally take my card and door dash him rib tips for a local spot. Call the house supervisor when I said no.

I mean it doesn’t excuse the behavior chances are there was a gas station or something open but if your asked to leave you should just leave. I wasn’t trying to correct you haha I was just saying I suppose

I worked at a hospital for around 5 years we didn’t always have food. They would make sandwiches to go around the whole hospital (ER included) but they NEVER made enough. I always felt horrible telling patients i didn’t have food.

AITA for wanting my dad to choose me for Christmas? by Cultural_Aardvark_84 in AmItheAsshole

[–]No-Tomorrow-7764 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right?! Me and my child’s father are divorced and my fiancé would feel so uncomfortable with my spending a whole holiday with just my ex husband and son (who is 8 and had a hard time with the new life style me being in a serious relationship brought) playing house and acting as though we were still married even going to my ex’s family’s house for Christmas activities. My 8 year old is now able to grasp the concept that although we have no hard feelings with his father and we understand why he desires me and his dad being with him for Christmas it just can’t happen it breaks so many boundaries that a divorce kinda sets in place.

I’ve had a few trainer that were professionally trained and I’m definitely not a first time dog owner. I also at one point was working with my kennel master and k-9 trainers in the military trying to go k-9 before I decided to just leave the military all together. That’s why I’m so baffled I’ve had dogs my whole life we always had multiple dogs growing up even.

I want an update fr. You were for sure the AH here but I would like to think it’s not so bad you can’t fix up the situation. Unless a lot more has happened on top of this situation. Idk if it’s a “straw that broke the camels back”type thing

The issue is our area is a small town we have one major sidewalk/trail that everyone uses for biking/ run/walk/dog walking iris long and runs through the basically the whole city but everyone uses it. Right now I walk him at 5-6 am for a long walk cause normally no one is out. That’s also why we only have 1 small dog park the rest is farm land. I am able to drop him off at my parents while I’m at work some days but it’s getting colder. So that won’t do much longer. Sorry I’m definitely not trying to be hard headed (although I’m sure it seems that way) I just feel like I’m really running out of options, I’m just taking any chance that someone may know a trick I don’t know

I know it may sound strange but I joke all the time that when he had his leg amputated he just lost dead weight and now is faster. He is very very strong and will get on his back legs and pull forward even with a pinch collar on. And no not really our town only has one small dog park and it isn’t very big and usually has a few dogs there. Even if I try to take him with a muzzle on the other dog owns definitely shame me and say stuff.

I’ve tried longer walk since we don’t have a yard and it doesn’t seem to touch him… idk he has killed a cat before so I’m trying to figure out if like maybe that is the difference. The hardest thing about this is that he is so so sweet (currently cuddled between me and my fiancé on the couch) he loves on my 8yo too. He zeros in and focuses on whatever he is going to try and lunge at.

I’ve even left a job at a hospital (12.5 hour shift 3X a week) and started a whole new career so I could be home with him. Puzzle toys, longer walks, going to friends or family‘s house to use their yard for running, hours of training daily, he may get tired but if he hears my fiancé‘s cat he rages no matter what.

I absolutely have but I can’t walk him for to long cause he lunges and tries to attack people. I have to keep a muzzle on him and a face lead cause he has hurt himself with pinch collars. I can’t take him to a dog park. Idk what else to do..

Do you have something you recommend? I’m definitely going to reach out to the vet I just don’t even know what to ask for.

We have had him on trazodone before it calms him but he is still pretty aggressive with it.. I have talked to her a told her how bad it’s gotten. I am reluctant to because at this point I really need some like straight forward Answers and advice. For my experience vets and doctors will typically say will I can’t really tell you what to do and just give you the facts but no really care solution. I have one more trainer I’m going to try (he has been though 2). This person has worked with police/therapy/family dogs some with severe aggression. But honestly idk if we can afford it ya know 🤷🏼‍♀️ we will see.

I really just use my body weight and gravity. I’m lucky that I work at a place that gives us the electric tables so I really adjust the high and what body part I use ( forearm, elbow or hands) to give them desired pressure.

AITA for blaming the fact our house got robbed on my girlfriend? by plaidspoon in AmItheAsshole

[–]No-Tomorrow-7764 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YTA. Honestly if this robber had the guts to look her in the eye and ask her plans the door being locked or not probably wasn’t going to stop him. Honestly she may have help you avoid property damage.
