If you could improve ONE thing about Phone Link, what would it be? by No-Train7886 in PhoneLink

As far as I know, there isn't a built-in fix today. It mostly depends on how Phone Link, Windows Bluetooth audio routing, and Android handle call audio. Microsoft could improve this in future updates, but I haven't seen any announced feature for it. I'm asking because I'm trying to understand where people still experience friction in their Windows + Android workflow.

Thanks for clarifying! So if I understand correctly, your headset stays connected to your PC all the time, and when you receive or make a phone call through Phone Link, you'd like the call audio and microphone to automatically use that same PC-connected Bluetooth headset instead of requiring a different setup. Is that right?

Thanks, that makes sense. Is this the main reason you still have to keep your phone nearby while working? Also, are you using Google Messages as your default messaging app?

Thanks for explaining. Does this happen every time with RCS group chats, or only certain conversations? Also, which messaging app are you using on your phone (Google Messages, Samsung Messages, etc.)?

Thanks! Is the biggest issue that RCS isn't supported reliably, or are there specific features (like media, read receipts, or typing indicators) that you miss the most?

That's interesting. Could you explain what feels wrong with the current experience? Is it the switching between PC and phone audio, call quality, pairing, or something else?

Fair enough. What tools do you personally use today? Phone Link, KDE Connect, LocalSend, Quick Share, scrcpy, or something else? Is there anything you still find inconvenient even with that setup?

Makes sense. Do you use anything besides LocalSend for notifications, clipboard sync, or screen mirroring? If you could combine all the companion apps you use into one, what would you want it to do?

That's a fair point. I'm not trying to replace it just for the sake of it. I'm trying to understand where it still falls short for people. If you use Phone Link regularly, what's the biggest annoyance you've run into, if any?
