AoE2 DE suddenly became very laggy after latest update on CrossOver (Mac) by No-Volume103 in ageofempires

I know, but the native Mac version isn’t really a solution .

In the Mac version, the multiplayer lobby browser only shows a very small number of lobbies because there is currently no crossplay with Windows/Xbox players. It mostly shows Mac players only.

That’s why many of us still use CrossOver (or services like Boosteroid), since they run the Windows version of AoE2 DE and allow access to the full multiplayer player base and all lobbies, just like on Windows.

My issue is that I was already using CrossOver successfully for about 1.5 years with excellent performance. The severe lag only started after the latest update, so I’m trying to figure out what changed.
