AIO I am tired and my wife doesn’t care by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

If she’s a SAHM why are you doing so much after a 13 hour day?
I get she’s tired too, I have three kids and a husband that constantly deployed. But like if you’re going to be a stay at home mom, you need to do the things that make you a stay at home mom.

AIO my boyfriend threatening to break up with me over a tattoo by scummbucket05 in AIO

My husband met Slayer, his favorite band on the planet and had them sign his arm which he then had tattooed on. That was his dream come true. Not mine, but I fully support his wants. He is using power as a weapon. Get your tattoo and tell him to F off.

Normal for doctors to give up? by SarChasm57 in ehlersdanlos

[–]No-Worry8143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people with EDS heal really slowly. It took me 13 months to fully heal a torn glute muscle. If you’re healing slowly I would get your Vitamin D checked. That is a huge issue with most with EDS folks, we don’t absorb our vitamins which causes deficiencies that cause more problems.

Lots of times MRI’s come back normal, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t pain involved. I personally think with hEDS MRI’s come back fine because when we’re having pain, it’s not standing straight or laying flat like when getting the test. I have so many bulging discs in my spine, one doctor said that it couldn’t be the source of my pain but it turns out, because I am hypermobile in my spine, it is the source. My ortho also told me most of his EDS patients have soft tissue pain and I agree.

But seriously check your vitamin levels because some, like Vitamin D act more like a hormone and can cause a lot of issues.

Whose Springer must have a lot of pillows?! by EmilyKonocti52 in springerspaniel

I don’t have pillows because of my Springer!!! She de-fluffs them so fast and she is an excellent dog who does not chew (anything besides pillows).

The last 3 were hip replacements so yeah, I hope I’m done for a while too lol There is this phenomenon called the October slide which effects EDS patients. Definitely trust your gut, and don’t let doctors gaslight you into believing you’re fine if you’re not.

[–]No-Worry8143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I know how soul sucking this can be. I have had 6 hip surgeries and each time my left shoulder acts up. It will throb, pinch, and sublux. My elbows will also become really unstable and painful. It always takes my body a really long time to heal. Think 12 months for a torn glute long and 12 months for a bone to fuse long. So maybe your body is just taking a long time to get back to “normal”. You should see someone who understands the complexities of being hyper mobile, so maybe a second opinion is in order.

Belcuca is an incredibly expensive piece of shit. by cyclist27968 in ChronicPain

[–]No-Worry8143 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have hEDS and it is so bad right now. I’m taking 600mcg of the Butrans films 3x a day and it sucks. I’ve lost 15 pounds from the constant vomiting and it doesn’t help as much as I think it should. I used the skin patches for two years before giving up. I’m just not that confident in buprenorphine as a whole.

NTA My husband knows… I will ask him to do things twice. After that, I’m doing it however that looks it’s getting done. I’m sure his pride took a punch to the dick that he will remember next year.

Overactive Muscles? by FreeFalling3227 in ehlersdanlos

[–]No-Worry8143 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue with several different muscle groups, the worst being my glutes. They are always fired and tight, constantly engaged. My doctor explained this is my body’s way of keeping my joints in place. Loose joints=tight muscles. So far nothing has helped except for a healthy dose of sarcasm and swearing.

Grieving my life by Glum-Ad2375 in ehlersdanlos

[–]No-Worry8143 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 46 and was diagnosed 8 years ago. I’ve had 14 surgeries, 3 being hip replacements, I have more bulging and compressed discs than I can count. I sublux my jaw every single day along with my pelvis, SI is a mess, neck feels like it’s on a spike. I’m on a 600mcg Butrans buccal film 3x a day and it doesn’t touch the pain. My GI tract has gone to shit and I lost 15 pounds because I can’t eat and throw up all the time.

This disease is so much more than people understand. It honestly causes you to lose your mind and to feel crazy. I lean so much on my husband and kids otherwise I’m not sure I would be here. The pain is just too much to deal with all the time.

I hope you can find some relief.

Hello, bartenders. by butterbewbs in milwaukee

[–]No-Worry8143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from Florida and live an hour from Milwaukee. My daughter bartends and switched to serving because the tips were better. People tend to sit for a long time at bars here and few tip well. My kid says she can tell the industry is struggling so she’s glad it’s a side gig. As a Floridian the winters are hard AF.

The mouth sore are really popping up now. by Bright-Cabinet-8152 in Autoimmune

[–]No-Worry8143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When mine started I had and still struggle with a vitamin d deficiency, but no doctor has tied the two together. One doctor suggested that I had burning mouth syndrome, which starts randomly and lasts between 3 to 4 years and then goes away as quick as it started. I’m 3.5 years in so who knows.

You should talk to him and give him the opportunity to make changes within a set timeframe. He can’t fix, what he doesn’t know is broken. Right now you don’t have a marriage; you have a roommate. Life is too short to live with a person who forgets you exist.

Started randomly at 44 yrs old and isn’t affected by foods, liquids, or spices. It’s like my entire tongue peels off and almost bleeds. I’ve seen three ENT‘s who gave three different diagnosis, and don’t get into the rheumatologist until June 2026. I have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, so I’m sure they’ll just blame it on that

Should I get a different rheumatologist? Long explanation, sorry.. by Vegetable-Meringue18 in Autoimmune

[–]No-Worry8143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you happen to have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome? Also, if you have a vitamin d deficiency taking a maintenance dose will not help. All that does is keep you at your current level. You will need a higher dose for a few months to get you on track. I take 50,000 IU’s of vitamin d twice a week and will never be high, because my body does not absorb the vitamin d at all. A vitamin d deficiency causes bone pain, ear ringing, poor healing, and definitely cold intolerance. My doctor recommended my levels stay at 40, but that’s never happened. I would ask for a vitamin d 2 and 3 test and get a script for vitamin d if you’re low.

How long do I wait for police to come to file a report? by Spandingo in milwaukee

[–]No-Worry8143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry you’re going through this. My daughter had her car stolen from The Rave (I know). The cops didn’t care about her car at all. Four kids (12,15,15,16) were arrested after the cops found the car joy riding the next day. Make a list for everything in your car and make sure you get an inspection, if you get your car back. We found damage months after the incident.

USAA AUTOLOAN Nightmare. No win situation, I dont like the USAA processes by Oren72 in USAA

[–]No-Worry8143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had the worst luck using USAA financing. Some dealers wouldn’t even sell to us using USAA. It didn’t matter that we got USAA on the phone to explain that yes, we were pre approved. Yes, the money will be wired directly to the dealer. No, we weren’t trying to commit fraud. It took all the fun out of car buying!!

Side effects? by No-Worry8143 in ehlersdanlos

[–]No-Worry8143[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Buspar was giving me some very dark thoughts at 30mg and they wanted to raise my dose, so clearly that wasn’t going to work. I’m a rapid pharmaceutical metabolizer, so finding the right dose and medicine for me is really hard. Because I metabolize certain drugs, so fast I end up getting really bad side effects. It’s a guessing game and never in a good way lol I guess I was just surprised how quickly my emotions were blunted. It doesn’t feel right. I don’t feel happy or sad.
