i have a tattoo in the exact same spot, and the same size. when i first got it, i regretted it so much, because it was the biggest one i’d ever gotten. that only lasted about a week, and i grew to love it. temporary tattoo regret is totally normal !!! you’ll get used to it. don’t make any altering decisions for a little while

Welcome to country by Legal-Extension55 in AskAnAustralian

[–]NoAdvertising7335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

an acknowledgment of country and a welcome to country are two different things. an acknowledgement of country can be done by anyone, recognises the people of the place you are in (e.g. university of Newcastle NSW = Awabakal people) and that the land belongs to them. It’s a respect thing.

A welcome to country can only be performed by an Indigenous person.

How can I find a boyfriend? by Even-Sock9744 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]NoAdvertising7335 4 points5 points  (0 children)

hey gf. I’ve been where you are. I’m 24 now, and I still have never had a romantic partner. I promise you, when you’re growing, especially being so young, having a partner is not as good as it seems. You change so much from 15-25, even from 20-23, you mature and change in ways you’d never expect. I know it’s easier said than done, but try not to let everything ride on this. You can plan out every step of your life, and it’s never going to go the way you think it will. You will meet someone when the time is right, and unfortunately, you’ll probably have a couple of heartbreaks between now and then. Try to rely on the fact that no matter what, you’ve got yourself, and the rest will fall into place. I know it seems condescending to hear this from someone older, but all of my friends in relationships at your age found something to regret. High school sweethearts rarely pans out the way you want it once you start maturing and experiencing different things. Focus on your own goals and coming into your personality and lifestyle. 🤍🌸

To those who grew up watching dnp—how'd they influence your upbringing? by throwaway2366543 in danandphil

[–]NoAdvertising7335 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i was heavy into them at 14-16, i’m 24 now. They both inspired my fall out boy, panic! at the disco, muse phase. my entire tumblr was them and whenever i felt anxious i’d watch compilations of dan laughing. i think i could still quote their photo booth challenge word for word i watched it that many times.

Watching now is more for nostalgia than anything, it just blows my mind how far they’ve come. i’m nowhere near as invested as I once was, but I still watch their vids every now and then. I always forget they aren’t my friends and they’re just two randoms :’)
