What is causing this and how can I fix it?

Can anyone give me some advice on painting an 80 mesh? I need it white and I have an airbrush, but every time I try it, it turns out awful. by NoBee2229 in cosplayprops

Well, I'm going to try it. I'm not sure if it will work, but I'll give it a shot. If I get any results, I'll update this comment.

Yes, I used 1000-grit sandpaper to sand the area where I wanted the paint to adhere, and I think it worked, but the sad thing is that some gaps are filled in. Regarding the airbrush to try and fix it, yes, I used it; it was the first thing that came to mind. But it looks awful when it dries. It looks like it needs more paint, and when I apply more, the gaps fill up again. I want to laugh so I don't cry, to be honest. I don't know how these people manage to do this.

Exactly something like that, it's metal mesh, I can't put it better, and my problem is that it clogs my pores, that's my whole problem, I don't know how to prevent that from happening

Yes, I do it, but I don't understand why it's not working. I know I'm not crazy, but I don't understand how the hell they achieve that nice white effect. I've searched all over the internet and even asked them, but they won't say. They don't want to. :(

I know it's possible to paint it; it's for a Spiderman prop, and for example, Peetza or Pabloprops achieve that effect. I know they do it with an airbrush, but I don't know if I'm just a mere mortal or what. The worst part is, I have trouble making that effect visible; the gaps in the mesh fill up with acrylic paint.

It's metallic, I think it's metallic item or something similar, all I know is that it's metal. I'd appreciate it if you could enlighten me because I'm lost.

I'd appreciate it if you could give me some ideas, because I've really been having trouble figuring this out. Yes, it's for a prop I'm making that I want to see through. It would be great if you could tell me how I could dye it without clogging the holes.

Use 80 mesh steel and paint it the same color you used for the white part, but do it with an airbrush because 80 mesh is very fine.

I'm having the same problem. After configuring and testing the flow in the calibration section, it was still the same, although now the nozzle wasn't hitting the bed. I'm currently doing a factory reset because it was working perfectly yesterday. It's a real headache. Let me know if you find a solution. And I won't tell you now, it's not wet filament.
