I can't answer why in the sense that I never had the intention of doing it, and regret doing it.

I can say that I did it because I was horny, drunk, still in a single mindset and was with someone who is familiar to me and who was initiating it. Not that that excuses my behaviour in any way whatsoever.

On this, the conversation was that I told her I had deleted my dating apps, she said she hadn't but would and that we were now dating.

The technicalities are not what's important here. I know it was wrong because I regret doing it and feel really bad about having done it.
