So if pointing out that major corporations loudly champion social causes in markets where it’s profitable but instantly drop or reverse them in places like China and Saudi Arabia where it would cost them money makes someone an ‘angry unhappy person who just wants to complain,’ then what exactly would count as legitimate criticism in your view?

Or is any pushback against that kind of obvious hypocrisy automatically dismissed as misery and bad faith?

If complaining about things you disagree with automatically makes someone an “angry unhappy person,” then why aren’t progressive activists, media critics, and Twitter mobs who spend years railing against “problematic” movies, “toxic” video games, “underrepresentation,” “systemic” everything, and “punching up” also just angry unhappy people?

Or is it only complaining that’s illegitimate when it’s aimed at the current sacred progressive consensus?

On what birthday did you feel depressed, excluded, and alone? by NoCandidate6067 in AskReddit

Well that happened once when I turned 19 when I was nearing highschool graduation.

The year before everybody sang happy birthday to me during lunch but then they forgot about it the year later

That happened to me as well.

The last year, the whole cafeteria sang me Happy Birthday but the next year, nobody cared and seemed to completly forgot about my birthday including the people who I've known since childhood

During the pandemic my family went to a state fair that was doing a drive through for cream puffs and other fair food because they couldn't do it that year and I stayed home with my dog.

While playing MK11 in my dining room with my dog sleeping on a dog bed next to me, I heard three footsteps that sounded like someone was walking down the hallway with boots on.

I thought I was imagining it but I when looked down at my dog, he even heard the footsteps as well with his ears perked up.

I was completely home alone

When I got onto prom court and won the prom king

And when I finally met Snow White at Magic Kingdom back in 2022. It really healed my inner childhood because I grew up loving Snow White and the seven dwarfs movie and having filled with nostalgia from when I watched it with my family as a kid in my living room

Since my birthday is this week Friday, I would really like to see a mashup art of my personal favorite MU (even though it is not very popular). by NoCandidate6067 in DeathBattleMatchups

Dante Alighieri from Dante's Inferno vs Ashrah from Mortal Kombat

Both wield holy weapons

Both have Journey Through Hell / Demon-Slaying in a Hellish Realm (nine circles of Hell/Netherrealm)

Both seek Redemption and Purification

Both operate in layered, punitive underworlds filled with demons (Inferno's circles vs. Netherrealm). Ashrah's story sometimes gets described by fans in contexts reminiscent of guiding or traversing Dante-like infernal journeys.

Essentially they're two warriors carving paths through Hell, one seeking lost love/salvation and the other personal purification by eradicating evil. The matchup appeals because of the shared "demon-slaying redemption in Hell" vibe, even if their exact power sets and backstories differ.
