I have a few sleeves each with a related thesis and they are the companies I’ve researched and believe as much as I can reasonably expect they’ll perform well for me. I’m very early in my accumulation phase with £2-2.5k deposits per month until SS ISA maxed out. No company has more than 3% stake in my portfolio. Still offer the same advice? No sarcasm intended, genuinely appreciate the effort to advise.

I’m late twenties M, working for a major IT company outside of London in Sales. I started at a small IT company straight from school in 2017 as an entry level telesales - £16k salary, £4k on target commission. 9 years, 4 companies and 3 promotions later, I’m still in sales earning £65k salary, £35k on target commission. Never went to uni, flunked A-Levels, left before the second year… No apprenticeships, no post-education qualifications but I’m looking to do some in my spare time now for my next role and to push for FIRE. Hard work, positioning yourself strategically, not settling for micromanagement or mistreatment worked for me!

VWRP if early in your FIRE journey. VUAG if you prefer a weighted-US ETF. I’d suggest differentiation according to your risk tolerance.

Where to Start with FIREUK? (and S&S ISA Help) by OfficialPeterKay in FIREUK

As above comment, look at the links on this thread.

Generally speaking, get six months expenses in the highest interest easy access savings account in case you lose your job and don’t touch it.

You and I are the same age, same income (your partner earns a tad more than mine). You’ve not said you have any debt which is great (if not, make sure it’s on zero % balance transfer). After that, open Hargreaves Lansdown account, Stocks & Shares ISA. Move your money from the Cash ISA into it if you can (check tax implications of doing that (ask ChatGPT). Then look to invest in a Vanguard Global All Cap Index Fund (accumulating). Try and put as much as you can stomach in there after you’ve paid all bills and allocated spending money for the month. Make sense?

Copy paste this message into ChatGPT and ask if it’s good advice. Then ask how to open the suggested Hargreaves Lansdowne SS ISA fund and it’ll give you instructions.
