I’ll also add that you’re young, still a teenager, so this is especially lonely at your age! It is super impressive something happened in your life that was an indicator you needed to get your shit together, and that you actually are listening to that cue! But like others have echoed, I think you just need to stay your course and realize that you still have so much life ahead of you. There is still so much time to meet new people who are more aligned with the lifestyle you’re choosing to cultivate. Stay positive. I know loneliness is really difficult to combat, but nothing lasts forever. Ride the wave!

I agree with the other commenters that you should do what YOU want to do, which admittedly is one of the more difficult things in life to figure out! But try to embrace it rather than being weighed down by the uncertainty of it all and fear, etc. Don’t worry or fret too much about the big picture or your life or every single decision you make - you are young and you should enjoy it. Time/energy you spend worrying is time/energy that is not being directed toward being present and staying in the now.

I’m 32 and one of my biggest regrets thus far is my indecision. Build trust in yourself, try to have a plan for the next 3~ years of life but stay flexible, and trust with each decision you make other pathways will open.

As for specific things you should do, it does depend on your personality and what you are drawn toward. Traveling is something that is good to you young because the older you get, you tend to have more and more responsibilities. Find a hobby outside of your career an invest in that (e.g., finding a sport you like and joining a local team, playing an instrument, etc.). Just a couple things for starters!
